Genshin Impact ‘Dual Evidence’ Guide: Place of Rebirth, how to follow the stone slate’s guidance and obtain full clearance

After Paimon and the Traveler went to the location indicated by the stone slate at the beginning of Genshin Impact‘s Dual Evidence world quest, they will need to “follow the stone slate’s guidance and obtain full clearance.” Here, one of the locations that they need to explore is the Place of Rebirth.

Like every other location in the ruins of ancient temples in the deserts of Sumeru, solving the puzzles in the Place of Rebirth is vital to completing this objective. Specifically, the Place of Rebirth is one (1) among three (3) areas that you need to explore to “obtain full clearance.”

This guide will help you “follow the stone slate’s guidance and obtain full clearance” in the Place of Rebirth.

How to go to and solve the puzzles in the Place of Rebirth

In order for you to “follow the stone slate’s guidance and obtain full clearance” in Dual Evidence, click on the quest objective or go to the Paimon Menu > Inventory > Quest Items > Scarlet Sand Slate.

In the Delving Deeper tab of the slate, you should find Place of Rebirth. Then, you can click Go to know the quest location. Teleport to the nearest waypoint to the area north of the Dune of Magma.

Now that you are in the location, follow the steps below:

STEP 1: Glide down the hole located on the right side of Duat Hall‘s entrance.

STEP 2: Release the Primal Ember and follow it into the flooded room until it reaches the Primal Torch. Doing so will lower the water level of the area.

STEP 3: From the Primal Torch, proceed to the next room behind the structure in front, NOT the one on the right side yet, until you arrive in an area with a locked Primal Ember.

STEP 4: Look for a Forged Primal Light (triangular blue orb) behind the ledge and place it on its platform nearby to unlock a Verity Cell. You can then use this Verity Cell to reveal the translucent torches around.

STEP 5: Using the Verity Cell and a Pyro character, light up a total of four (4) torches in the area. This will unlock the Primal Ember but also spawn enemies. Defeat them.

STEP 6: Release and follow the Primal Ember. This will lead you back to the main room earlier.

STEP 7: From the entrance, Go to the room on the right side this time. If you’re using the map as a reference, this should be the northern one.

STEP 8: Go downstairs, where you will find a locked Primal Ember.

STEP 9: Move the two (2) cells on both sides of the room TWICE. Note that the cells go back to their original position after some time, so you might consider defeating the enemies first and alternating between two cells. This way, they will be in their correct positions in time.

This is how it should look, with the unlocked Primal Ember at the center.

STEP 10: Release and follow the newly unlocked Primal Ember until it reaches the Primal Torch in the Main Room.

This should complete the clearance in the Place of Rebirth, which is one (1) out of three (3) from the “follow the stone slate’s guidance and obtain full clearance” objective.
