Genshin Impact: Al Haitham model, vision, weapon type leaks

One of the upcoming characters in the Sumeru update for Genshin Impact is Al Haitham, another character that strongly resembles someone else from Honkai Impact 3rd, and now he had his full model and in-game appearance revealed in the last bunch of leaks.

He’s the previously leaked Su-Expy character supposed to be introduced in 3.0 and seems to play a big role on the Sumeru questline, similar to how Yae Miko did in Inazuma. But is also very likely that, just like the kitsune lady, he won’t be playable until much later in the versions, as he’s not listed in any of the leaks for the first Sumeru versions.

His previous leaked images were blurred and he didn’t even have an official name, being known only as of the “Su-like character”. Al Haitham model is the “tall male” character type (Zhongli, Childe, etc), and his design seems to have small changes, notably on his earrings and around his neck.

There’s also this screenshot of his handsome model in-game, in much better quality than before. Looks like rumors on Hoyoverse focusing on more handsome males were right after all.

We can also notice what seems to be a forest in the background, indicating this screenshot may have been taken in Sumeru where we’ll have a quest with him.

His appearance is very similar to Su from Honkai Impact 3rd, and an interesting thing to notice is that his character is related to a bubble universe called Seed of Sumeru. Whether this is simply Hoyoverse choosing to use the same name in Genshin again or if this small universe and the Dendro region are connected, only time will tell.

Al Haitham’s vision and weapon

While he’s not coming directly as a playable unit in 3.0, we can already deduce some of his specifications.

In his model screenshot, we can see a tab saying “NPC_Avatar_Male_Sword_Alhait”, indicating that he’s going to be a Sword user. Also, there’s a Dendro vision on his left shoulder, but that’s where it ends.

No information on his skills or preferred roles has been leaked yet, and if Hoyoverse decides to pull a Yae Miko again, we won’t know anything about them for a good while.
