Fortnite: Where to Find Lightsabers and How to Block Hits

Last Updated on: 13th May 2022, 01:04 am

As part of celebrating Star Wars Day today, May 4, 2020, Fortnite brings back one of the most iconic weapons there is in movie history—the Lightsaber

Having previously appeared in a 2019 event that coincided with the release of Rise of Skywalker, Lightsabers are returning for two weeks starting May 3 to May 17, 2022, during the Star Wars May the 4th Quests.

These Lightsabers include those that are wielded by Luke Skywalker, Kylo Ren, Obi-Wan, and Mace Windu

With Lightsabers, you can block hits. And as part of the May the 4th Quests, you need to block hits using one to earn 30K Fortnite XP

But the question is: Where do you get Lightsabers?

Lightsaber Locations

While there are no guaranteed locations for the Lightsabers in Fortnite and may vary for each player, below are some tips that you should take note of:

  • Search an area with a lot of loots and/or chests (although Lightsabers don’t seem to appear from chests, you can give it a try).
  • Check cabins, fishing spots, and around Seven Outposts
  • Since Lightsabers are classified as Mythic weapons, lookout for items with a yellow glow.

And if you really can’t find any:

  • Take them away from other players who are using them.

That doesn’t sound right. But do what you gotta do in the game!

At the moment, it seems that the locations for this weapon are random. You also can’t purchase them from NPCs like E-11 Blaster Rifle.

How to Block Hits Using Lightsabers

To earn 30K Fortnite XP during the May the 4th Quests, you are required to use your Lightsaber to block a total of 10 hits from enemy players.

To do this, you only have to use the Lightsaber and put your character in a defensive stance by pressing and holding the aim button. This way, your character will start blocking bullets as enemies begin to shoot you.

However, this doesn’t make you invincible. You will still get hit occasionally which seems to be affected by the angle, the distance, and the number of your enemies.

This means that facing only one enemy makes it more likely for you to win or run away from the battle unscathed.

Now, go get yourself some Lightsabers, and may the 4th be with you!
