Fortnite v23.20 update: New Reality Augments with an exciting twist

With Chapter 4 of Fortnite well underway, players have been given a whole host of new weapons and items, one of those being Reality Augments.

The Reality Augments were introduced at the beginning of Chapter 4 as a way for players to gain extra abilities and advantages for the match they were playing, including granting free weapons, and revealing where the storm circle will be heading next.

With the new v23.20 update, Fortnite has added more Reality Augments to the game to give players additional items and enhanced gameplay. Let’s take a look below at the new features introduced.

The new Reality Augments

In the latest update, Epic has added not one but five new Augments. Let’s jump straight in and explore their features and how they can be used.

Peelys Plunder:

Peely has made his return! By unlocking the Peelys Plunder Reality Augment, players will be given access to a treasure map. Equip the map and follow the arrows to uncover a Treasure Chest, full of valuable loot that you ordinarily wouldn’t find within regular Chests.

Rarity Check:

By activating the Rarity Check Reality Augment, players will earn Siphon upon elimination whilst using Common and Uncommon weapons. A great way to keep your health in check if your weapons aren’t all that great!

Shotgun Striker:

As with the Rarity Check, the Shotgun Striker will grant players Siphon upon damaging opponents whilst using a shotgun.

Zero Chance:

The Zero Chance augment could be one that is a huge added bonus when in close combat or toward the end of gameplay. When active, the Zero Chance Reality Augment will give players a temporary Zero Point dash, giving you a quick getaway when needed.

Danger Hero:

When your shield is damaged, Danger Hero will give you the ability to not only regenerate your health but also the ability to dash. This one could be particularly useful in modes such as Zero Build when you can’t build to protect yourself but need to heal from damage.

And there we have it, five new Reality Augments to take full advantage of every time you hop off the Battle Bus!
