With Destiny 2: The Witch Queen quickly approaching its release date of February 22nd, 2022, gathering the right weapons for the expansion has become more and more essential due to some weapons not being easy to farm once the expansion drops.

Exotics

When the expansion drops, two seasonal exotics are going to have the way that they are obtained changed. Those two exotics are Dead Man’s Tale and the Hawkmoon. In addition to the ways to obtain the weapons disappearing at the end of the season and into The Witch Queen, the way to obtain their catalyst is as well, so be sure to get those as well.

Blinding Grenades

This perk on breach load grenade launchers is probably the most slept on perk in the game. Although it doesn’t work on enemies in the game that count as majors, grenade launchers that have this perk on them can blind large groups of enemies at once, preventing you from being swarmed and killed.

The launchers that have this perk are Orewing’s Maul, Truthteller, Empty Vessel, Ignition Code, and Pardon Our Dust. The two farmable launchers are the Ignition Code and Pardon Our Dust. Farm one of these out with blinding grenades and stay safe in the new DLC.

Night Watch Scout Rifle

Not just any roll of this legendary kinetic scout rifle will work, but the curated roll from the new light missions is the one to go for. This scout rifle that you can get from completing a handful of missions comes with corkscrew rifling, extended mag, overflow, and explosive payload, alongside a handling masterwork.

Scout rifles granted don’t have the best place in the sandbox at the moment, but picking this up is a way of future-proofing yourself. With the new DLC will come a new sandbox, where we don’t know if scout rifles will get a buff, so in case of that happening it is a good idea to pick it up.

Seasonal Weapons

Lastly, any weapons that have come from previous seasons should be picked up. Weapons like the kinetic submachine guns Friction Fire, from Season of the Hunt, Extraordinary Rendition, from Season of the Chosen, the void pulse rifle Gridskipper, from Season of the Splicer, and the heavy linear fusion rifle Threaded Needle, from Season of the Chosen.

There will be ways to get them in the future from focusing on engrams, but it will be significantly harder, so it is best to pick those weapons up now while they are available.

Since these weapons have multiple rolls on them, use a website such as light.gg or Destiny Item Manager to see what your rolls are or what to go for those weapons. Good luck farming for the god-rolls that you’re looking for.
