Ahead of Black Ops Cold War Season Two, Treyarch have shared a brand new look at their upcoming Outbreak mode. Here’s everything we know…

Black Ops Cold War Season Two is continuing in the footsteps of Season One and bringing an incredible amount of content to fans.

We’re getting… Deep breath…

Four new Operators, four new guns, two new melee weapons, three new multiplayer maps, five new Prestige Levels, AND Outbreak.

It’s almost here! Call of Duty Twitter has given us the first real look at Black Ops Cold War Zombies Outbreak. Check it out below:

The Season Two update for Black Ops Cold War and the release of the Outbreak mode will be celebrated with a week of free access for both Multiplayer and Zombies.

Below, we have some details about the upcoming in-game missions that will feature in Outbreak:

  • Defend: In order to claim an intact sample on the Dark Aether-affected infected, players must defend a device while it uploads the data.
  • Escort: Requiem rovers must be protected in order to help the team detect dimensional portals that may be hidden in plain sight.
  • Retrieve: Somewhere in the Outbreak zone, there are two Aether harvesting units that need to have their Aetherium Canisters extracted.
  • Eliminate: Using GPS, Requiem can pinpoint the location of several High Value Targets and eliminate them for high rewards.
  • Holdout: In order to destroy unstable Aether Crystal deposits, players must endure a dangerous phase into the Dark Aether while the explosions trigger.
  • Exfil: After completing an objective, Requiem must decide whether to evacuate or take a portal into another area of the Ural Mountains.

With a lot to do across a lot of ground, expect to be continually pushed by the undead for resources and time.

Black Ops Cold War Zombies Outbreak is due to release alongside Season Two on February 25th, 2021.

Consider this guide as initial intel for Requiem agents looking to drop into Outbreak. Of course, there is plenty of more research to be done in the Ural Mountains, so it’s up to you and your squad to explore the regions and report back to Requiem with your findings.
