Black Ops Cold War may have had a rocky launch, polarising the Call of Duty player base in the wake of the exceptionally-received Modern Warfare, but that doesn’t mean the franchise is dead yet. Far from it, in fact. With the help of Warzone, Call of Duty is as popular as ever and discussions regarding Call of Duty 2021 are rife.

Although we don’t know anything concrete, there are plenty of rumours and leaks to discuss. Some of these have more merit than others and we will only highlight those with a bit of substance.

Below is everything you need to know about the next instalment in the Call of Duty series…

Call Of Duty 2021 Base Information

In the wake of concrete information, there has been a heavy discourse amongst Call of Duty leakers regarding the subject matter of the upcoming title.

Leakers BKT00R and dave_doomy, for example, both err on the side of Call of Duty 2021 taking place in World War 3 and following on somewhat from Modern Warfare.

Viral Junkie’s Tom Henderson, a notable industry leak, has however disputed these claims without any other suggestion. Following on from the successes of Modern Warfare would make sense, but without any official announcement we don’t know for sure.

There is also no information regarding the possible Warzone Integration of the next Call of Duty. The free-to-play Battle Royale is immensely popular and Black Ops Cold War has proven it is possible. However until we know more about the upcoming title, there is no information regarding this.

Call Of Duty 2021 Trailer

Currently, due to a lack of any official information regarding Call of Duty 2021, there isn’t any trailers to show you. There are fan-made pieces online, but nothing official from Activision, Treyarch, or any other partnering studio.

Release Date

Despite the lack of an official, specific, release date… Previous trends would suggest that Call of Duty 2021 will release in the “holiday season”. Call of Duty titles often release in late October and November, so both November 5 and November 12 are possible dates.

Platforms

There is no word on whether the next Call of Duty will be an exclusively next-generation title or whether, much like Black Ops Cold War, it will be released on both older and newer hardware.
