Developed by BlueTwelve Studio and published by Annapurna Interactive, Stray has been under the radar of a lot of players since it was initially revealed in 2020. In fact, it is one of the most highly anticipated games this year and is currently at No. 1 on the Steam Top Wishlists.
Perhaps what charmed players to anticipate for this video game is the fact that they can play as a lost cat. In Stray, a futuristic cat gets separated from its family as it falls into a dystopian world filled with robots, machines, and viruses. The goal, therefore, is to find its way home.
With the game’s open-world elements, players will find themselves climbing walls, jumping on platforms, and solving puzzles. But how long do all these meowing and purring generally take? In this article, we’re letting the cat out of the bag, and we’re going to let you know how long it takes to beat Stray.
Here’s how many hours you need to spend to beat Stray
On average, it will take players about five (5) hours to complete the game. This timeframe, however, is totally dependent on the kind of player that you are. Obviously, this is feasible for those who simply follow the game’s objectives.

However, those who like exploring every nook and cranny of a game’s open world will find their journey home a little longer. This might take eight (8) hours of gameplay.
For the “achievers,” it’s important to note that you can get a trophy if you finish the game within two hours. This achievement is called “I am Speed.”
