Endwalker Release Date Announced!

Yesterday, the Final Fantasy XIV Digital Fanfest event was wrapped up, and the event in total had given fans much needed information about the upcoming expansion, Endwalker. Some of the most important info among it all was the announcement of the Reaper Job as well as the Endwalker release date! Here’s all we know.

And the long awaited release of Endwalker is… November 23rd! Fans are surely a little disappointed at the late release, as prior expansions have been mid to late Summer releases, and I don’t blame them much. While COVID-19 obviously led to an adjustment period for dev teams around the world, it’s still slightly disheartening to see the release pushed back so close to the new year.

During the Digital Fanfest, Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida apologized for the delay and made sure to mention just how tirelessly the dev team is and has been working on the project.

On a brighter note, however, we not only learned of the Endwalker release date, but that of the Early Access period as well. In the past, pre-ordering any version of an expansion would allow players to get into the new content 4 days early, acting as some of the most active days ever in the MMO. Having the sort of exclusive club of all pre-orderers trying to gun down the new story as fast as possible, some aiming to finish the story before it opens to the public, is a feeling like no other in FFXIV.

The date of the Early Access? November 19th. Thankfully, this falls on a Friday, which will assuredly set up some paid time off and then a free weekend to binge all the content you can.

I know that I’ll be praying I don’t have any exams on that day, as if I’m free, I’ll be up at 5am EST at server reset throwing myself into the new expansion with thousands of others.
