Fusion Energy Pokémon GO is the special resource used to combine certain Legendary Pokémon into stronger fused forms. There are currently four main types to know: Solar Fusion Energy and Lunar Fusion Energy for Necrozma, plus Volt Fusion Energy and Blaze Fusion Energy for Kyurem.
How to get Fusion Energy Pokémon GO
The main repeatable source of Fusion Energy Pokémon GO is winning the matching Fusion Raid when those bosses are available. Defeating Dusk Mane Necrozma awards Solar Fusion Energy, Dawn Wings Necrozma awards Lunar Fusion Energy, Black Kyurem awards Volt Fusion Energy, and White Kyurem awards Blaze Fusion Energy.
Fusion Energy can also appear in Special Research or other limited event rewards. Those opportunities depend on the event schedule, so raids remain the method to watch whenever the fused forms return.

How much Fusion Energy do you need?
Each current fusion needs 1,000 of the correct Fusion Energy Pokémon GO type. Necrozma also needs 30 Necrozma Candy and 30 Cosmog Candy. Kyurem needs 30 Kyurem Candy plus 30 Candy from the Pokémon being fused with it.
Using the wrong Energy is not possible. Solar and Lunar Energy are separate resources, just as Volt and Blaze Energy are separate. You cannot convert one type into another.
Necrozma Fusion Energy
For Dusk Mane Necrozma, collect 1,000 Solar Fusion Energy Pokémon GO, then combine Necrozma with Solgaleo using 30 Necrozma Candy and 30 Cosmog Candy. For Dawn Wings Necrozma, the requirement is 1,000 Lunar Fusion Energy, Necrozma, Lunala, 30 Necrozma Candy and 30 Cosmog Candy.
After a Fusion Raid you catch the base Pokémon rather than the fused raid boss. The Energy is the raid reward that lets you create the fused form from Pokémon already in your storage.
Kyurem Fusion Energy
Black Kyurem requires 1,000 Volt Fusion Energy Pokémon GO, 30 Kyurem Candy, 30 Zekrom Candy, one Kyurem and one Zekrom. White Kyurem requires 1,000 Blaze Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, 30 Reshiram Candy, one Kyurem and one Reshiram.
Defeating Black Kyurem in a Fusion Raid awards Volt Energy and leads to a Kyurem encounter. Defeating White Kyurem awards Blaze Energy and also leads to a regular Kyurem encounter.
Does Fusion Energy get cheaper after the first fusion?
No. Unlike the way repeated Mega Evolution or Primal Reversion can become cheaper, the Fusion Energy Pokémon GO requirement does not decrease just because you have fused that Pokémon before. If you separate the Pokémon and later want to fuse it again, you need the full Fusion resources again.
This is one reason not to separate a fused Pokémon casually. Separation itself is free, but rebuilding the fusion is not.
Can you walk for Fusion Energy?
Fusion Energy is not a Buddy-walking resource in the way some Mega Energy can be earned after unlocking a Mega Evolution family. For Fusion Energy Pokémon GO, plan around Fusion Raids, research and any official event rewards that specifically list the Energy you need.
Which Fusion Energy should you farm?
Farm the type connected to the form you actually want to build. Solar leads to Dusk Mane Necrozma, Lunar to Dawn Wings Necrozma, Volt to Black Kyurem and Blaze to White Kyurem. Because every fusion needs 1,000 Energy, splitting a limited raid session between two types can leave you short of both.
Best way to prepare for a Fusion event
Before spending raid passes, check which Candy and partner Pokémon you already have. There is little value reaching 1,000 Fusion Energy Pokémon GO if you do not own the required Solgaleo, Lunala, Zekrom or Reshiram. Decide on the fused form first, then target the matching raid boss until you have the full Energy requirement and the Candy needed to complete the fusion.
Can you earn Fusion Energy when the fused bosses are absent?
Usually, the repeatable raid source disappears when the relevant fused boss leaves the rotation. Limited research can still award Fusion Energy Pokémon GO during selected events, but it should not be treated as a permanent daily source. If you finish an event below 1,000 Energy, you may need to wait for another Fusion event before completing that form.
