Fortnite Week 0 Quests: All Four Treasure Hunters Kickstart Tasks

Fortnite Week 0 Quests

Fortnite Week 0 quests are four Kickstart challenges that arrived with Treasure Hunters on November 1, 2026. Each gives 20,000 XP, so the full set is worth 80,000 XP. You’ll need to consume a Devil Fruit, use a Rift or hire a Specialist in two different matches, open three Sprite Chests using Wanted Posters, and deal with a loaded cannon.

Two of the objectives have requirements that are easy to miss. The NPC task counts different matches, not separate conversations in one game. For the Sprite task, ordinary loot chests do not replace the three buried chests found through Wanted Posters. Here’s how to get each one done.

These Fortnite Week 0 quests appear in the current weekly section of the Quests tab. They’re not the same as the eight One Piece Episode objectives or the separate Treasure Hunt chest goals, although you can make progress on several tracks during the same match.

Consume a Devil Fruit

Pick up and consume one Devil Fruit. Treasure Hunters includes Luffy’s Gum-Gum Fruit and Ace’s Flame-Flame Fruit, and either fulfils this objective. You don’t need to defeat another player afterwards: eating the fruit is the entire task.

Use the first one you find while looting instead of carrying it around while you chase a particular boss. Our Gum-Gum Fruit guide covers the new ability itself. This is usually one of the simplest Fortnite Week 0 quests to clear during ordinary play.

Use a Rift service or hire a Specialist in two different matches

Talk to a character offering a Rift service or a Specialist hire and choose that option. Once the objective reaches 1/2, start a new match and use either qualifying service again. Using both options in the same round does not count as two matches.

Buccaneer Brigand Jones at Windmill Village offers a Heavy Specialist hire and a Rift. Nami is on the beach south of Windmill Village and offers a Rift. Near the dock of The $.$. Rocky, Charlotte-Sensei offers a Supply Specialist hire and a Rift. There are other routes too; our Rift and Specialist quest guide has the full launch NPC list.

Gold Bars have been vaulted in Fortnite update 43.00, and follower services are free. That means this part of the Fortnite Week 0 quests doesn’t require any currency farming.

Open three Sprite Chests using Wanted Posters

Find a Wanted Poster on a wall and tear it down. You’ll receive a Sprite Treasure Map pointing to a buried Sprite Chest. Follow the marker, dig up the chest and open it. Repeat the full poster-to-chest route three times.

Don’t confuse the target with the separate Treasure Hunt challenge requiring two Sprite Chests. Fortnite Week 0 quests specify three chests opened with Wanted Posters. If you need the steps for finding and using posters, see the Wanted Posters walkthrough.

The Exmarks Sprite reveals nearby posters and treasure maps. Mastery Monday also increases Wanted Poster and Sprite Chest appearances, beginning at 9 AM EST (2 PM GMT) on November 2.

Find and use a loaded cannon

Look for a cannon on Crossbones Isle, load it with an Explosive Cannon Ball or a player, and fire it. Epic confirms both forms of cannon use in the season notes. Some published quest lists say ‘find’ a loaded cannon, while the extracted quest text says ‘fire’ one, so performing the full loading and firing action avoids stopping short.

Look around the island’s ship and dock areas as you explore rather than travelling to an old Fortnite OG cannon location. You do not need to eliminate an opponent. Our loaded cannon quest guide covers the two ways to load and launch.

Do Fortnite Week 0 quests count towards Captain X?

Yes. Finishing the four Kickstart challenges provides four Weekly Quest completions towards Captain X’s milestone track. The track runs through further weekly completion targets, ending at 24 for the Captain X Outfit. The reward items belong to the Treasure Hunters Battle Pass; earning XP by itself does not claim them. See our Captain X guide for the reward list.

Fortnite Week 0 quests are also separate from the One Piece Episode quests and the Treasure Hunt chest challenges. Check each task’s own counter before leaving a match, especially when you’ve opened a buried Sprite Chest.

Best order for Fortnite Week 0 quests

Start with whatever is closest to your landing spot. Eat a Devil Fruit if you find one, use a qualifying NPC service before leaving the match, and follow Wanted Posters as you loot. In your next round, repeat the NPC service to secure the second match credit. The cannon objective fits naturally into a visit to a ship or waterfront area.

All four Fortnite Week 0 quests can contribute to your normal Battle Pass progression while you explore the new island. You don’t need an Item Shop purchase to complete the objectives.
