Fortnite PumpkinSpiceLife Code is part of Fortnite’s October 1 Fortnitemares 2026 update, and there is now enough live information to explain exactly what it does rather than treating it as a vague seasonal addition.
This guide separates the lobby, Battle Royale and event mechanics so you know where the feature actually works, what you receive and what to check if it appears to do nothing. The details below use the current October 1 update information, with Epic’s own Fortnitemares notes used for the live event mechanics.
What does the Fortnite PumpkinSpiceLife Code give you?
The Fortnite PumpkinSpiceLife Code turns everyone in your Fortnite lobby into Pumpkins. It is an October 1 Fortnitemares Lobby Hack and does not award a permanent Pumpkin Outfit or an inventory consumable.
The transformation happens in the lobby, which is why searching your Locker after redemption can make the reward look missing. The lobby change itself is the effect.
How to enter PumpkinSpiceLife
Open the Admin Panel while you are in the Battle Royale lobby, type PumpkinSpiceLife exactly and submit it. The Fortnite PumpkinSpiceLife Code is text entered through the lobby system, not a directional sequence completed at a Cheat Code panel on the island.
Epic’s v42.30 fixes also say Xbox players can again enter Lobby Hacks, so this is worth retrying after updating if the Admin Panel had previously refused input on an Xbox device.
Is PumpkinSpiceLife a skin code?
No. The Fortnite PumpkinSpiceLife Code is not a free cosmetic Outfit code. It temporarily applies the Pumpkin-style lobby transformation to everyone present.
This matters if you found the password described simply as a free Fortnite code. There is no permanent Pumpkin skin to equip later from this particular password.
PumpkinSpiceLife not working
First confirm you are in the correct Admin Panel and have entered PumpkinSpiceLife without spaces. If it submits but the lobby does not visibly change, reload the lobby before assuming the password has expired.
Do not try the Fortnite PumpkinSpiceLife Code at an in-game wall panel. Those panels have become Trick or Treat Cheats for Fortnitemares and use their own directional input system.
Other October 1 Lobby Hacks
PumpkinSpiceLife arrived alongside CrowsAreAfraid and IThinkTheKeyFoundMeChat. CrowsAreAfraid turns the lobby into Scarecrows, while IThinkTheKeyFoundMeChat awards one Extraction Accelerator according to current October 1 code discoveries.
The Fortnite PumpkinSpiceLife Code is therefore the Pumpkin transformation of the three. Claim all three if you want both visual Fortnitemares effects and the useful Extraction Accelerator reward.
Fortnite PumpkinSpiceLife Code quick check
If you are testing Fortnite PumpkinSpiceLife Code today, make sure Fortnite is fully updated to v42.30 and that you are in the correct playlist or interface for the feature. Lobby Hacks, in-match Cheat Codes and scheduled Power Hours are separate systems even though they all sit inside the same Fortnitemares update.
The safest way to troubleshoot Fortnite PumpkinSpiceLife Code is to confirm the event state first, then retry the specific interaction. That avoids treating a scheduled bonus, chance-based reward or lobby-only effect as though it should behave like ordinary Battle Royale loot.
Can your whole party use the Pumpkin effect?
The Fortnite PumpkinSpiceLife Code is reported to transform everyone in the lobby, making it a party-wide visual joke rather than a reward only the person entering the password can see. It is therefore easiest to verify by looking at the characters around you after submitting the code.
If the lobby has changed, the password worked even though nothing new appears in your Locker. Leave and re-enter the lobby if you want to clear a stuck visual state before testing another transformation code.
Does PumpkinSpiceLife give XP or items?
No XP, Sprite Dust, weapon or consumable reward is attached to the Fortnite PumpkinSpiceLife Code in the October 1 discoveries. Its listed effect is the Pumpkin transformation itself.
Use IThinkTheKeyFoundMeChat from the same code wave if you are specifically looking for a useful match item, because that password is reported to award an Extraction Accelerator.
