Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 map shows hunters, seaport city and nightshift forest on the original Battle Royale island. Chapter 6 began on Oninoshima, an island inspired by Japanese scenery and folklore. It had seaside towns, forests and mountains, with demons and shrines tying the terrain to the Hunters theme.
The map image is from update v33.00. It shows the island at the start of Season 1, before the later patch changes and event additions that can make screenshots of the same season look different.

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 map: New and changed locations
Seaport City stood beside the water, while Nightshift Forest brought dense woodland and a changing atmosphere. Shogun’s Solitude, Warrior’s Watch and other settlements offered quieter or more dangerous landings depending on the route.
The island had several distinct regions rather than one continuous cityscape. Players could move from wooded ground into open fields, follow roads around the coast or climb toward the higher terrain. The Japanese-inspired architecture made the island immediately different from the Chapter 5 map.
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 map: What changed on the island?
Chapter 5 ended with Doctor Doom’s Marvel locations and a railway. Chapter 6 replaced that island with a new map of temples, towns and demon-infested areas. Oninoshima had its own layout rather than reusing the old train route.
The opening island made Seaport City a useful urban destination and Nightshift Forest an alternative for players who preferred trees and cover. Both were part of a wider map built around Japanese-inspired regions.

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 map: How to identify this version
The opening Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 map is the baseline for everything that happened on Oninoshima in 2025. Look at the distances between Seaport City, the northern forests and the inland hills. The arrangement of those regions explains why later additions could change the identity of particular landing routes without replacing the entire island.
