Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 map captures the jungle, rumble ruins and creeky compound at the start of the season. WILDS changed the Chapter 4 landscape when a large section of the island collapsed to reveal a jungle. Players descended into a lush region of trees, cliffs and ancient ruins that looked unlike the medieval towns or Mega City’s neon streets.
The original island image below comes from Fortnite update v25.00. It shows the layout when the season began, rather than combining later map patches into a single illustration. The comparison boxes further down let you see how much the terrain changed from the previous season.

Which Chapter 4 Season 3 locations were new?
Rumble Ruins, Creeky Compound and Shady Stilts were key new named locations. The jungle also brought vines and canopy routes, making movement above and below the forest floor part of the experience.
The terrain itself was the attraction. Instead of crossing ordinary hills, players could move through deep jungle valleys and climb toward a canopy above the fighting. The geography made it harder to see opponents at a distance in some areas, while other points offered height advantages.

Season 2’s major addition was the southeastern city. Season 3 left that region in place but split the middle of the island with the jungle, creating a completely different environment within the same chapter.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 map: Why this version stands out
The jungle in the Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 map was a geographical change, not just new decoration. Deep valleys and thick foliage occupied central terrain, so travellers could find themselves below neighbouring areas while moving through the new biome. Rumble Ruins and Creeky Compound gave the region named destinations of its own.
What happened after this version of the map?
Season 4 later introduced Kado Thorne’s luxurious estates, shifting attention from the jungle’s ruins to high-security heist locations.
The season-opening version above is a historical reference, not a claim that the island stopped changing after the first patch. Fortnite frequently altered individual locations during the season. You may see differences in gameplay from later updates even when the map is labelled with the same season number.
