The Extraction Accelerator in Fortnite instantly activates a nearby Extraction Site and calls in its Extraction Crate without the usual visual or audio cues. That makes it one of the best Chapter 7 Season 4 Gizmos for getting a Sprite out of a match quickly and quietly.
If you’re carrying a Sprite you really want to keep, the Extraction Accelerator in Fortnite can save you from standing around waiting at an Extraction Site while half the lobby notices what you’re doing.
New free Extraction Accelerators in v42.20
| Lobby Hack | Reward |
|---|---|
| BeamMeUp | 2 Extraction Accelerators |
| NOCTURNEOP55N1 | 2 Extraction Accelerators |
There are now two useful Lobby Hack routes for free Extraction Accelerators. BeamMeUp awards two Extraction Accelerators, while the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners code NOCTURNEOP55N1 is also being reported live with two Extraction Accelerators during the September 17 rollout.
The spelling matters. The Cyberpunk code begins with NOCTURNE, not OCTURNE. Enter it from the lobby Admin Panel and check for the reward confirmation before starting a match.
The item itself has not changed purpose: it is still used near an Extraction Site to activate the site and bring in its Extraction Crate much faster and more quietly than the normal process.
What Does the Extraction Accelerator in Fortnite Do?
The Extraction Accelerator in Fortnite instantly activates a nearby Extraction Site and immediately calls in its Extraction Crate.
The biggest advantage is that it does this without the normal visual and audio cues that usually advertise an Extraction Site activation to other players.
So instead of activating the site normally and waiting for everybody nearby to realise someone is trying to extract a Sprite, the Extraction Accelerator lets you speed the whole process up and keep it much quieter.
How to Use the Extraction Accelerator in Fortnite
To use the Extraction Accelerator in Fortnite:
- Carry the Sprite you want to extract.
- Travel close to an Extraction Site.
- Use the Extraction Accelerator Gizmo.
- The nearby Extraction Site activates.
- Its Extraction Crate is summoned immediately.
- Use the crate to extract your Sprite.
The important thing is that you still need to be near an Extraction Site.
The Extraction Accelerator does not let you extract a Sprite from absolutely anywhere on the map.
Does the Extraction Accelerator Extract the Sprite Instantly?
Not by itself.
The Extraction Accelerator in Fortnite instantly activates the Extraction Site and summons its Extraction Crate.
You then use that extraction setup to get your Sprite safely out of the match.
That makes it different from the Portable Extractor, which is designed specifically to let you extract the Sprite you are carrying without travelling to a normal Extraction Site.
Extraction Accelerator vs Portable Extractor
These two Chapter 7 Season 4 Gizmos sound similar, but they work differently.
Extraction Accelerator
Instantly activates a nearby Extraction Site and summons its Extraction Crate quietly.
Portable Extractor
Lets you extract the Sprite on your back without having to visit an Extraction Site.
So if there is an Extraction Site nearby, the Extraction Accelerator makes using it faster and less obvious.
If there is no Extraction Site nearby, the Portable Extractor is the more flexible option.
Why Is the Extraction Accelerator Useful?
Normal Sprite extraction creates risk.
You have already found the Sprite you want, possibly spent most of the match carrying it around, and then have to reach an Extraction Site without another player eliminating you first.
Activating an Extraction Site normally can also give away what you’re doing.
The Extraction Accelerator in Fortnite cuts down that vulnerable period by summoning the Extraction Crate immediately and avoiding the usual signals.
That can make a big difference if you’re extracting a rare Sprite you really do not want to lose.
Does the Extraction Accelerator Make Noise?
Current Chapter 7 Season 4 guidance says the Extraction Accelerator does not produce the normal visual or audio cues associated with activating an Extraction Site.
That is one of its main advantages.
It doesn’t make you completely invisible to nearby players, obviously, but it removes the usual announcement that an extraction has been activated.
Do You Need an Extraction Site?
Yes.
The Extraction Accelerator in Fortnite works with a nearby Extraction Site.
It is not a portable extraction method on its own.
If you want to extract from anywhere without finding an Extraction Site, that is what the Portable Extractor is designed for.
Is the Extraction Accelerator a Gizmo?
Yes.
The Extraction Accelerator is one of the Gizmos available during Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4.
The current Gizmo lineup also includes:
- Cheat Code Locator
- Llama Supply Drop
- Portable Extractor
- Spicy Taco
Each has a different purpose, with the Extraction Accelerator specifically focused on making Sprite extraction quicker and quieter.
How to Get an Extraction Accelerator in Fortnite
Extraction Accelerators can be obtained through Chapter 7 Season 4’s Gizmo systems.
There is also an Admin Panel code that gives them directly.
Enter:
TAKEYOURHEART
through the Fortnite lobby Admin Panel to receive two Extraction Accelerators.
That makes it one of the easiest ways to make sure you have the Gizmo available before you need it.
Is the Extraction Accelerator Worth Using?
If you’re carrying a Sprite you genuinely care about extracting, yes.
The Extraction Accelerator in Fortnite is particularly useful when:
- You are carrying a rare Sprite
- Other players are nearby
- The Storm is closing in
- You do not want to wait for a normal Extraction Site activation
- You want to avoid broadcasting the extraction with the usual effects
There is not much point saving one forever if using it is the difference between getting the Sprite out and losing it.
Extraction Accelerator in Fortnite Explained
The Extraction Accelerator in Fortnite instantly activates a nearby Extraction Site and summons its Extraction Crate without the normal visual and audio cues.
You still need to be near an Extraction Site, but the Gizmo makes the process much faster and less obvious to other players.
If you want to claim two for free, the TAKEYOURHEART Admin Panel code currently gives two Extraction Accelerators.
