The Fortnite Sprite Garden release time is expected to be 10:00 a.m. ET / 3:00 p.m. BST on Friday, August 21, 2026. The Sprite Garden is the new permanent home for your Sprite collection, where you can play with your Sprites, show off the ones you have collected and visit your friends’ gardens.

The Fortnite Sprite Garden arrives one day after the launch of Chapter 7 Season 4: Override, rather than becoming available immediately alongside the new season.

Epic Games has officially confirmed the Sprite Garden itself and describes it as an “island getaway” for your Sprite collection. Epic also confirms that the Sprites collected during Season 3: Runners will appear there alongside the continuing Sprite system in Season 4.

The August 21 launch date is being reported alongside the new Sprite Garden rollout.

However, Epic’s own support documentation currently confirms the Sprite Garden feature without publishing an exact launch hour. Because of that, the 10:00 a.m. ET / 3:00 p.m. BST time should be treated as the expected release time until the Garden actually opens.

We’ll update this once it is live.

When Does Sprite Garden Come Out in Fortnite?

The Fortnite Sprite Garden comes out on August 21, 2026, following the launch of Chapter 7 Season 4: Override.

That means players who logged into the new season on August 20 may have noticed that the Sprite Garden was not immediately accessible.

It hasn’t disappeared and it wasn’t abandoned between seasons. The Sprite Garden has a separate rollout.

What Is the Fortnite Sprite Garden?

The Fortnite Sprite Garden is a permanent space dedicated to the Sprites you have collected.

Epic confirms that you will be able to:

  • Play with your Sprites
  • Display your Sprite collection
  • Visit your friends’ garden sanctuaries
  • Keep the Sprites you collected during Season 3 represented in the Garden
  • Continue adding the new generation of Chapter 7 Season 4 Sprites to your collection

Epic specifically says that Season 3 Sprites are being “immortalized” in the Sprite Garden, while a new generation of Sprites continues during Season 4.

That makes the Garden much more than a temporary Season 4 location.

Do Season 3 Sprites Appear in the Sprite Garden?

Yes.

This is one of the most important confirmed details about the Sprite Garden.

The Sprites you collected during Chapter 7 Season 3: Runners carry into the Sprite Garden.

Epic confirmed this before the launch of Override, explaining that your previous collection would be preserved in the new Garden.

So all that Sprite hunting last season was not for nothing.

Your Season 3 collection becomes part of the permanent Garden while Chapter 7 Season 4 introduces another generation to collect and master.

Can You Visit Friends’ Sprite Gardens?

Yes.

Epic has confirmed that players can visit their friends’ garden sanctuaries.

This gives the Sprite Garden a social element rather than making it simply another collection menu.

You’ll be able to see other players’ gardens and the Sprite collections they have built.

Can You Play With Your Sprites in the Sprite Garden?

Yes.

Epic specifically says the Sprite Garden is somewhere you can play with your Sprites as well as showcase your collection.

Exactly how every interaction works should become clearer once the Fortnite Sprite Garden release time arrives and players can properly explore the feature.

We won’t invent mechanics before they’re live.

Is the Sprite Garden Permanent?

Epic’s description strongly positions the Sprite Garden as the continuing home of the wider Sprite collection rather than a disposable Season 4 POI.

This matters because Sprites themselves have now continued from Chapter 7 Season 3 into Chapter 7 Season 4.

The Garden provides somewhere for the collection you’ve already built to remain visible while you continue finding new Sprites.

Why Can’t I Access the Sprite Garden?

If you’re trying to access it before the Fortnite Sprite Garden release time on August 21, that is likely why it isn’t available yet.

Chapter 7 Season 4 launched first, with the Sprite Garden following separately.

Once the Garden is live, we’ll have a separate guide covering exactly how to access the Sprite Garden, where the option appears and what you need to do when entering for the first time.
