Coming off a split in the LCK, the Korean national league, where they did not drop a single series, T1 continued their winning streak against the Vietnamese team Saigon Buffalos. The second-place team out of VCS did give T1 a run for their money, however, with the bottom lane specifically swinging in their favor.

Despite that, T1 still played a methodical game that negated any lead that was gained in the bot lane. The other lanes for T1 also created leads for themselves that made that task a lot easier leading into the mid-game.

This game was the first time that a team from Vietnam has played internationally since the pandemic started. The second-place team from the VCS did show what the league can do, but it left questions about what would have happened if the first-place team GAM Esports were able to play at this tournament.

PSG Talon Aren’t The Same

At last year’s MSI, PSG Talon was able to make it all the way to the semifinals before being knocked out by the eventual winners Royal Never Give Up. This year, however, the team does not look as strong.

In their opening game, they lost to the CBLOL representatives RED Canids, a team that many people predicted to be the third-best in the group. The team just isn’t the same as it was last year, and if they do want to make it out of the group stage, let alone back to the semifinals.

Day two of MSI 2022 continues the action that happened today, with G2 Esports and Evil Geniuses going head-to-head again at 1 AM PST/4 AM EST/ 9 AM GMT. All the action rewards for watching, and schedule can be found at lolesports.com.
