Diablo Immortal Secondary Item Rank 30 raises the secondary equipment upgrade cap from 25 to 30 in the October 21, 2026 update. The new ranks unlock at Paragon 1600, 1700, 1800, 2000 and 2100. The final Rank 30 upgrade requires Paragon 2100.
Paragon is only one requirement. Your gear still needs the preceding enhancements, so this guide covers each new rank and the checks to make when an upgrade remains locked.
Diablo Immortal Secondary Item Rank 30 Paragon requirements
Blizzard has set a specific Paragon gate for every newly added secondary rank. For the five ranks above the old maximum, the requirements are:
| Rank | Paragon required |
|---|---|
| 26 | 1600 |
| 27 | 1700 |
| 28 | 1800 |
| 29 | 2000 |
| 30 | 2100 |
The gap between Ranks 28 and 29 is 200 Paragon levels, while the other new steps are 100 levels each. If you’re currently Paragon 1750, you can meet the gates for Ranks 26 and 27 but not 28. If you are already Paragon 2100, you meet all five Paragon requirements for Diablo Immortal Secondary Item Rank 30.

How the higher secondary ranks work
Secondary item rank and character Paragon level are separate types of progression. A high Paragon level lets you attempt the newly available enhancement, while the equipment itself has to reach the preceding rank first. Having Paragon 2100 does not instantly make a Rank 25 item Rank 30.
A Rank 25 item can move to Rank 26 once your character reaches Paragon 1600 and you have the required materials. Rank 27 follows at Paragon 1700, and the remaining upgrades unlock in order.
Blizzard’s October notes also state that upgrades at Rank 21 and above have Paragon requirements. Players who haven’t reached Rank 25 yet must continue through the earlier enhancement tiers before the extended cap comes into play.
Why can’t I upgrade to Rank 26?
First, check your character’s Paragon level. The requirement for Rank 26 is 1600. If you’re below that, the new rank remains locked regardless of how many upgrade materials you’ve saved.
Second, check your equipment’s current rank. A Rank 24 item cannot skip Rank 25. If your Paragon level and current gear rank are both sufficient, look at the actual enhancement screen for its material requirement. The October announcement provides the Paragon levels, but it doesn’t include a complete Rank 26–30 material-cost table.
At Paragon 1950, the Rank 28 requirement is met. Rank 29 stays locked until Paragon 2000, even if your item is ready for another enhancement.
When does the Rank 30 cap become available?
The new ceiling is included in the October 2026 content update, with maintenance scheduled across October 20 and October 21 depending on region. After the patch has reached your server, eligible players can begin pursuing the new ranks.
Diablo Immortal Secondary Item Rank 30 is available to work towards as soon as the cap increase is live, but Rank 30 itself still requires Paragon 2100 and completion of earlier enhancements. If your server has updated and the final rank is locked, compare your character level with the table before checking any equipment costs.

Does Rank 30 affect Legendary Essences or Gems?
The secondary equipment cap is a separate change from Gem upgrades and Legendary Essence collection. Inferno XV Legendary Essences are also part of the update, and existing Loyalty Points are converted into Legacy Loyalty Points, but neither of those is the same system as raising the secondary item cap.
If you’re updating multiple parts of your build, our Legacy Loyalty Points guide covers Essence currency, while Normal Gem Progressive Upgrades and Legendary Gem Priority Drop cover other equipment progression.
What’s the best next goal after Rank 25?
If you’re below Paragon 1600, aim for that first requirement while upgrading any secondary items that haven’t reached Rank 25. If you’re already above it, use the table to identify the next gate, then upgrade your chosen secondary equipment in order.
Paragon 2100 clears the final level gate for Diablo Immortal Secondary Item Rank 30. You still need to finish the earlier upgrades, but Rank 25 is no longer the end of the equipment progression track.
