Deadlock City Never Sleeps Heroes now have a complete six-character release order. Rat King arrived October 2, Baba October 6, Solomon October 9, Deadman Danny October 13 and Violet October 16. The last new hero, Nurse Harrow, is scheduled for Tuesday, October 20.

Valve introduced a voting system that allowed players to choose the order the heroes would arrive in matches. Five of the six are playable as of October 18, and the final reveal is only two days away. That means the schedule is no longer full of undecided candidates and old community polls.

Deadlock City Never Sleeps Heroes: All six release dates

The following is the confirmed order from the City Never Sleeps voting campaign. All release days use Valve’s 2 PM Pacific slot, which is 10 PM BST for players in the United Kingdom during October.

October 6, 2026 Baba Playable
October 9, 2026 Solomon Playable
October 13, 2026 Deadman Danny Playable

Rat King, Baba and Solomon are available now

Rat King won the first vote and joined on October 2. His abilities include Scrap Grenade, Rat Swarm, Royal Pestments and Rule, Ratannia!, giving him ways to pressure enemies and turn fights around. Baba then arrived October 6, with Solomon following October 9 after winning the next votes.

The Deadlock City Never Sleeps Heroes didn’t unlock simultaneously. Each new character became available in the live roster after their scheduled vote, which also removed them from consideration in later rounds. If you’re learning Rat King, our ability guide and build guide cover his released kit.

Deadman Danny and Violet are already playable

Deadman Danny joined the roster on October 13. Violet then became playable on Friday, October 16, leaving Nurse Harrow as the only member still waiting for release. Violet is not merely a concept, a future ballot candidate or an unreleased character anymore.

For the Deadlock City Never Sleeps Heroes, that makes October 16 the fifth confirmed launch date. You can select Violet and the other four released characters in matches, although competing with teammates for the same popular hero may make assignment more difficult.

Deadlock City Never Sleeps Heroes: When does Nurse Harrow release?

Nurse Harrow is due October 20 at 2 PM PDT, which converts to 10 PM BST. She’s the sixth and final announced character in City Never Sleeps. Valve hasn’t released her final playable ability kit yet, so any precise build or counter recommendations need to be based on her live version after Tuesday’s unlock.

The Deadlock City Never Sleeps Heroes release order is now determined, but that doesn’t automatically mean another voting campaign is scheduled once Harrow arrives. The October 20 date completes this original set of six heroes.

How do hero votes and priority tokens work?

Votes were cast before matches in the pregame lobby. A vote from the winning team counted double, and the first win of each day also awarded a double-vote bonus. Winning a vote set the next hero release; it didn’t determine whether any of the six characters would be added at all.

Hero Priority Tokens are different: they increase your chance of receiving an already playable hero during matchmaking. They don’t guarantee selection or alter the Deadlock City Never Sleeps Heroes release order. Our priority token guide explains how the assignment system works.

What else changed with City Never Sleeps?

The wider patch also altered the city map and its three lanes, introducing different district layouts, new Haunts and other systems that affect how matches play. Find the details in our map guide and Haunts guide.

Deadlock remains invite-only, despite a large surge in concurrent Steam players. The Deadlock City Never Sleeps Heroes update isn’t a general public release. For official hero announcements and balance patches, visit Valve’s Deadlock news.
