EA names three main sources for College Football 27 Nightmare Fuel: progress on the Nightmares Field Pass, rewards from Nightmares events and rewards from Nightmares Challenges. How much Nightmare Fuel is in the Field Pass?
The free Nightmares Field Pass can award up to 250 College Football 27 Nightmare Fuel. It also contains BND Nightmares Reward Packs, one Grave Token, a 91 OVR Nightmare Champion Fantasy Pack and the exclusive 91 OVR Tano Letuli at the end of the track.
The Premium Pass adds an instant 6,000 Field Pass XP, three Grave Tokens up front and the chance to earn up to 500 Nightmare Fuel, another two Grave Tokens and more BND packs. EA describes those premium rewards as additions to the premium track rather than replacing the free progression.
Farm Nightmare Fuel from Solo Perpetual Nightmare
Solo Perpetual Nightmare is the clearest repeatable event source for College Football 27 Nightmare Fuel. Each major Nightmares release changes the event’s theme, and defeating the CPU earns Fuel as you work through the run.
There is also a separate Grave Token reward for winning ten games in one run before reaching two losses. A strong run can therefore pay into both parts of the programme economy: Fuel from victories and a Grave Token for reaching the ten-win target.
Never Ending Nightmares Fuel rewards
College Football 27 Nightmare Fuel is also available from the Never Ending Nightmares H2H event. EA sets both Never Ending Nightmares and Most Feared Nightmares to Hall of Fame difficulty, but the reward focus is different.
Never Ending Nightmares is the one EA specifically describes as paying Nightmare Fuel and packs. Most Feared Nightmares is built more heavily around the crossover with Madden NFL 27, including rewards in both CUT and MUT for hitting win streaks.
What can you spend Nightmare Fuel on?
EA says College Football 27 Nightmare Fuel can be exchanged for Packs or Grave Tokens in the Store. Fuel itself is therefore the flexible programme currency, while Grave Tokens are the more specialised currency used mainly in Nightmares Sets.

When does Nightmare Fuel convert to Coins?
EA says all unspent College Football 27 Nightmare Fuel is automatically converted to Coins when the Nightmares programme ends on November 6, 2026. The announcement does not publish the Coin conversion rate.
Because the exchange rate is not listed, spend Fuel on the Nightmares items you actually want instead of assuming the automatic conversion will be better value. The programme’s Welcome Pack and time-limited events also close around the same November 6 window.
Best way to use Nightmare Fuel
If you are still building the programme lineup, use College Football 27 Nightmare Fuel around the reward you are actually chasing. A player targeting Catacomb or Mausoleum packs may prefer converting Fuel towards Grave Tokens, while somebody who wants broader chances at Nightmares players can compare the Store’s direct Pack options.
Keep an eye on the live Store before spending a large balance because Nightmares has multiple releases during the programme. EA has confirmed the core Fuel rules, but Store packs can change as new Player Items arrive.
Does Nightmare Fuel carry into another programme?
No carryover is planned for College Football 27 Nightmare Fuel. EA explicitly says the remaining balance converts to Coins when Nightmares ends on November 6, so it is not a currency to bank for a future CUT programme.
If your balance is still sitting there near the deadline, check the Nightmares Store and Grave Token requirements before the conversion happens. Anything left afterwards should be handled automatically by the game.
