Brawl Stars Brawler Blast is the permanent system for unlocking Brawlers with Credits, replacing Starr Road with an arcade-style shooting gallery. When you collect enough Credits for the next rarity in your unlock order, the game opens a set of targets, removes them one by one, and gives you the last Brawler left standing.
The important part is that Brawl Stars Brawler Blast is not just a random Brawler roll. Targets can reveal Gem Fragments while they are removed, and those fragments can turn into extra Power Levels or upgrades for the Brawler you unlock. There is also a chance to receive a direct Brawler choice instead of leaving the result entirely to the shooting gallery.
How Brawl Stars Brawler Blast starts
Brawl Stars Brawler Blast triggers when you have earned enough Credits for the rarity currently shown in your Brawler Collection. Credits earned before the opening count immediately toward that next unlock. The game uses a set rarity order, so you can check the Brawler Blast area in the Collection to see whether your next target group will be Rare, Super Rare, Epic, Mythic, Legendary or Ultra.
The Credit requirement depends on that rarity. Rare needs 160 Credits, Super Rare 430, Epic 925, Mythic 1,900, Legendary 3,800 and Ultra 5,500. Rare and Super Rare Brawlers that previously came from Trophy Road are now part of this system too.

What happens during the shooting gallery
A normal Brawl Stars Brawler Blast opening shows 10 targets. If you still have more than 10 unowned Brawlers in the current rarity, the game randomly selects 10 of them for the gallery. You then fire at the targets and knock them down until one Brawler remains. That final Brawler is the one added to your account.
If fewer than 10 eligible Brawlers remain, the unused positions become blank targets. Those blanks are removed before any Brawler target, so they do not steal your final unlock. Supercell also states that every target has the same chance to reveal Gem Fragments, which means a blank target can still contribute progression.
What Gem Fragments do
Gem Fragments are the progression bonus attached to Brawl Stars Brawler Blast. As targets disappear, a target can reveal between one and four fragments. After the new Brawler is unlocked, the fragments are converted into Power Levels or upgrades for that Brawler.
One fragment gives one Power Level. A two-fragment result can give two Power Levels, a random Gadget or a random Super Rare Gear. Three can give three Power Levels or a random Star Power. Four can give four Power Levels, a Hypercharge or a random Buffie. One opening can award no more than one Gadget, one Gear, one Star Power, one Hypercharge and one Buffie, with a maximum of 10 bonus Power Levels.
Can you choose the Brawler?
Yes, sometimes. Brawl Stars Brawler Blast has a 50% chance to trigger a Brawler choice. If the choice appears, Supercell lists a 57.14% chance of seeing two Brawlers, a 28.57% chance of seeing three and a 14.29% chance of seeing four. If only one Brawler remains unowned in that rarity, there is nothing to choose between, so the choice cannot trigger.
This choice is separate from the normal target elimination. When no choice appears, the shooting gallery determines the unlock. When it does appear, use the offered selection to take the Brawler you actually want from the options shown.
Where Brawler Blast is now
Starr Road and Fame no longer have Home-screen buttons. Brawl Stars Brawler Blast now lives inside the Brawler Collection, with Brawler Blast information to the left of the collection and Fame on the right. That is the first place to check if you have enough Credits but cannot work out where the old Starr Road screen went.
Newly released Brawlers can use separate Brawler Release Events rather than entering the normal Credit pool immediately. For the permanent Credit system, however, Brawl Stars Brawler Blast is the main route for Rare through Ultra unlocks and the progression bonuses attached to them.
Quick Brawler Blast checklist
- Earn the Credit total required for your next rarity.
- Open Brawler Blast from the Brawler Collection.
- Knock down the targets until one Brawler remains.
- Collect any Gem Fragments revealed by the targets.
- Use a Brawler choice if the 50% choice event triggers.
- Check the unlocked Brawler for any Power Levels or upgrades awarded from fragments.
That makes Brawl Stars Brawler Blast a two-part progression system: Credits determine when the unlock happens, while the gallery and Gem Fragments determine which eligible Brawler and extra progression you receive.
