Brawl Stars Championship 2027 changes how teams reach the top level of competitive Brawl Stars. Each of four major regions will start with eight teams: six invited from the final 2026 leaderboard and two qualified through a closed Invitational. Teams outside that group can still work towards promotion through the new Challengers competition.
For players wondering whether they can sign up, the two routes are very different. The January Invitational is limited to eligible teams from the 2026 standings, whereas Challengers begins with the in-game Championship Challenge and qualifiers. Here’s how the invitations, roster rules, deadlines and progression system work under Supercell’s October plan.
How to qualify for Brawl Stars Championship 2027
The Brawl Stars Championship 2027 top division will feature eight teams in APAC, EMEA, South America and North America. That means 32 spots across these four regions. Mainland China’s plans will be announced separately. Six spots in each of the four regions go directly to the highest eligible 2026 leaderboard teams. The final two are decided through the BSC Invitational.
If you’re a player on an unaffiliated new team, you can’t enter that opening Invitational just by signing up. Instead, join the Championship Challenge when the new Challengers pathway opens, advance through its Qualifier Tournaments and aim for Challengers Finals promotion later in the season. The dates and participation details for every Challengers subregion have not been fully published yet.
Brawl Stars Championship 2027 direct invitations and roster changes

Supercell will invite the top six eligible teams per region based on final 2026 BSC leaderboard standings. To accept, a team must retain the core of its roster, allowing at most one change ahead of the new season. The roster deadline is December 20, 2026, the same day invitations must be accepted.
If a team declines or cannot accept, the spot moves to the next eligible roster. Supercell may invite a team with a substantially changed lineup into the BSC Invitational instead, provided it still qualifies among the region’s top 10 or 14 by 2026 player points. That exception is at the organiser’s discretion, not an automatic right to keep the original invitation.
For Brawl Stars Championship 2027, spots normally belong to the roster, unless the roster belongs to a Club Partner. In that case, the organisation holds the slot but remains bound by the same roster requirements.
Brawl Stars Championship 2027 Invitational: who qualifies?
The Invitational supplies the final two Brawl Stars Championship 2027 teams in each region. APAC, North America and South America invite the teams ranked seventh to tenth in their final 2026 regional standings. Each plays a four-team double-elimination bracket over one day. EMEA instead invites places seventh to fourteenth, creating an eight-team bracket spread across two days.
Only the two available places matter, so the brackets stop once two teams have qualified. There is no need for a separate final to determine a single winner. It is a closed qualification event, not an open tournament for anyone who missed the top-level leaderboard. Supercell plans to make matches available through creators.
| Region | Direct invites | Invitational participants | Qualifying places |
|---|---|---|---|
| APAC | 2026 positions 1–6 | Positions 7–10 (4 teams) | 2 |
| EMEA | 2026 positions 1–6 | Positions 7–14 (8 teams) | 2 |
| South America | 2026 positions 1–6 | Positions 7–10 (4 teams) | 2 |
| North America | 2026 positions 1–6 | Positions 7–10 (4 teams) | 2 |
Brawl Stars Championship 2027 timeline
Supercell published the dates below as a working schedule on October 1. They are useful for teams planning roster changes but remain subject to adjustment. The first invitations are planned for shortly after November’s 2026 LCQ and World Finals cycle.
| Date | What happens |
|---|---|
| November 23, 2026 | Direct invitations sent |
| December 20, 2026 | Invitation and roster response deadline |
| December 21–23, 2026 | Invitations processed |
| January 16–17, 2027 | Planned BSC Invitational |
Do not assume the Invitational starts at a fixed time on either day; Supercell has not announced full match schedules. The Brawl Stars Championship 2027 opening places will be settled through this process before the new top-level season begins.
Brawl Stars Championship 2027: how new players qualify
For new teams, the Brawl Stars Championship 2027 pathway begins in the game’s Championship Challenge. Successful teams progress to Qualifier Tournaments for a place in Split 1 of Brawl Stars Challengers. High-performing teams then reach Challengers Finals, where they can earn promotion into Split 2 of the top division.
This is not a one-shot, closed January route. Supercell says each Challengers subregion will have multiple points of entry in each split. More precise dates, thresholds and qualifier rules will follow after the 2026 World Finals. Check the official tournament information before organising a roster around an unannounced sign-up date.
The season has two splits building towards Brawl Cup and World Finals, with promotion and relegation providing movement between divisions. That gives an emerging team a way to progress even if it had no chance of qualifying from the 2026 leaderboard.

Does Brawl Stars Championship 2027 have promotion and relegation?
Yes. The new top-level competition and Challengers are connected. The strongest Challengers teams can earn a move upwards, while top-division teams face competition for their places. Supercell’s plans also include reset leaderboards between splits and offline events for successful teams.
The starting 2027 direct invites recognise last season’s performance, but they do not guarantee permanent top-level membership. Likewise, a team missing the January Invitational can still develop through the open Challengers pathway. These are distinct routes serving different players, not competing names for the same qualifying tournament.
Where to follow the 2027 competitive season
The official Brawl Stars Championship event site and Brawl Stars Esports channels will carry updated schedules, rules and tournament announcements. For the current scene, the competitive map contest article covers 18 designs chosen for testing, but those maps are not automatically confirmed for 2027 Ranked or tournament play.
The Brawl Stars Championship 2027 qualification structure is confirmed in broad terms, while some dates and Challengers details remain provisional. Supercell has committed to publishing further information after the November 2026 World Finals, so teams should check the official eligibility document before locking a final roster.
