Black Ops 7 Ritual Orb: How to Escort It and Make It Move

Black Ops 7 Ritual Orb

Black Ops 7 Ritual Orb is the escort objective that starts each of the three Summoning Seal sequences in the Season 6 Forbidden Summoning World Event. When you reach a seal marker on Avalon Night, interact with the orb and stay close enough for it to follow its set route. The actual 100 Exotic weapon eliminations do not begin until the orb reaches its destination and the Summoning Seal becomes active.

Black Ops 7 Ritual Orb can look broken if you treat it like a normal waypoint and sprint away from it. Live event runs show that proximity is what keeps the escort moving, so the safest approach is to travel with the orb while clearing enemy waves around its path. You do not need an Exotic weapon for every escort kill, which means you can conserve Exotic ammunition for the ritual phase that follows.

Black Ops 7 Ritual Orb escort explained

At Hightown, the Excavation Site or east Low Town, locate the activity marker and interact with the Black Ops 7 Ritual Orb. Once activated, it begins travelling toward the seal location. Move at its pace rather than racing to the endpoint. Enemies will pressure the route, so use a weapon that clears space quickly and keep the immediate path safe.

The Black Ops 7 Ritual Orb is only the first half of the seal objective. Reaching the endpoint causes the Summoning Seal phase to start, and that is when the Exotic requirement matters. Switching to your Exotic at the correct moment preserves ammunition and makes it obvious which eliminations are supposed to advance the 100-kill counter.

Why the Ritual Orb is not moving

If the Black Ops 7 Ritual Orb stops, return to it before doing anything complicated. The escort depends on players remaining close enough to move the objective. Chasing a distant enemy, looting another building or driving ahead can leave the orb waiting behind you. Clear threats from the escort area and re-establish proximity before assuming the activity has failed.

Also make sure you are interacting with the active World Event objective rather than simply standing at one of the known seal areas before the alert. The Black Ops 7 Ritual Orb appears as part of the live Forbidden Summoning sequence. Watch the HUD and Tac Map for the Summoning Seal alert, then navigate to the current activity marker.

Weapons and gear for the escort

Use the escort to save the resources you need later. The Black Ops 7 Ritual Orb itself does not demand Exotic weapon eliminations while it is travelling, so a dependable secondary weapon can handle the moving waves. Keep the Exotic loaded for the moment the seal activates. That separation is especially useful if your Exotic has a small magazine or limited reserve ammunition.

Armour and mobility matter as well because the escort can pull you through exposed areas at night. With the Black Ops 7 Ritual Orb moving on a fixed path, your job is to keep pace rather than force a route of your own. Revive teammates quickly, avoid wandering for loot and remember that there are three complete escort sequences if the rest of the lobby is not helping.

What to do when the Ritual Orb reaches the seal

Once the Black Ops 7 Ritual Orb reaches its destination, stop thinking about movement and start thinking about qualification. Equip a true Exotic weapon, stay around the active seal and begin the 100-elimination phase. Legendary rarity is not sufficient, even if the weapon has been heavily upgraded through the normal Endgame progression systems.

After 100 qualifying Exotic eliminations, that seal breaks and you can move to another marker. Complete the same Black Ops 7 Ritual Orb escort at each remaining seal until all three are gone. The final completion releases Greylorm and shifts the World Event to Trinity Stadium, where the escort mechanic is finished and the boss fight becomes the only priority.
