Battlefield 6 Update 1.4.3.5 is live across all platforms with a smaller quality-of-life pass focused on menus, HUD behaviour, stability, map fixes and several Season 4 issues. The September 30 patch also removes the NATO class restrictions from Rooster and Bob, fixes the thick PS5 scope edges identified in Update 1.4.3.0 and makes the minimap visible while a player is downed.
The useful way to read Battlefield 6 Update 1.4.3.5 is as a targeted follow-up rather than another balance overhaul. There are no sweeping weapon-stat changes here. EA is cleaning up specific problems introduced or highlighted during Tidal Strike, improving End of Round navigation, fixing several map and mode problems and addressing a handful of REDSEC issues.

Battlefield 6 Update 1.4.3.5 removes Rooster and Bob class restrictions
The most visible player-facing change is the Top Gun cosmetic update. Lt. Bradley Rooster Bradshaw and Lt. Robert Bob Floyd were previously tied to specific NATO classes, which limited where their purchased character skins could be equipped.
EA says those restrictions have now been removed based on community feedback. Both soldier characters and their associated skins can be selected across all NATO classes, and their skin icons no longer show class-specific gadgets.
End of Round and Spectator fixes
Battlefield 6 Update 1.4.3.5 fixes an endless loading screen that could appear after quitting to the main menu at End of Round. That should make leaving a finished match more reliable instead of trapping the player during the transition.
EA also resolved a crash that could happen in Spectator mode during large-scale experiences. The patch notes do not limit that fix to one map, so it should be treated as a broad Spectator stability change rather than a mode-specific workaround.
PS5 scope edge fix in Battlefield 6 Update 1.4.3.5
Update 1.4.3.0 introduced overly thick black scope borders on PlayStation 5, and EA had already said 1.4.3.5 was the target fix. The new patch restores the intended edge thickness for SU-123, CCO, Ro-M, 2PRO, 3VZR, R4T, 1P86 Variable, 1P88 Variable, NFX and SSDS optics.
If one of those sights still looks wrong after patching, confirm Battlefield 6 has actually finished installing 1.4.3.5 before changing display settings or rebuilding the weapon setup.
Wake Island and Carrier Strike changes
Two invisible barriers inside a bunker near Objective E on Wake Island have been removed. These could obstruct movement even when the route appeared physically open.
Carrier Strike also receives a direct gameplay fix: the APHEI Cannon can no longer damage the carrier. That closes a behaviour EA did not intend for the mode.
Downed minimap and HUD changes
EA says the minimap now displays while the player is downed. The update also fixes navigation back to the Battlefield Coins purchase button after cancelling a purchase and corrects Phantom Program XP Booster icons shown at End of Round.
There is an important distinction here: Battlefield 6 Update 1.4.3.5 officially fixes the minimap being invisible while downed. EA does not say it has fixed every downed-state medic-icon issue, so those are separate HUD behaviours and should not be treated as the same bug.
Tsuru Reef AI and REDSEC fixes
AI-controlled vehicles should now handle shallow water on Tsuru Reef more reliably instead of becoming submerged. This is an AI navigation fix rather than a change to player vehicle physics.
In REDSEC, a floating zipline has been removed from the elevator shaft in the Tech Campus point of interest. Platform icons also display correctly in the Proximity Chat Recent Interactions menu in Battle Royale.
Do you need Battlefield 6 Update 1.4.3.5?
Yes. The patch is live across the normal supported platforms and contains fixes that apply to the current Season 4 build. Even if you do not use the Top Gun skins, PS5 optics, End of Round flow, downed HUD and stability changes all sit in the same client update.
Battlefield 6 Update 1.4.3.5 is smaller than 1.4.3.0, but it closes several problems that were left explicitly for this follow-up. Players interested in the complete underlying changelog can use EA’s official notes after the related Battlefield guides below.
