Battlefield 6 Update 1.4.3.0 is live from September 15, with the patch available from 08:00 UTC and Tidal Strike content activated at 12:00 UTC. The update adds Deep Six, the Diver’s Knife, Phantom Program and Proximity Chat while also reworking Tsuru Reef Breakthrough and making broad balance, Portal, UI, audio and REDSEC changes.

The official changelog is enormous, so the useful way to read it is by separating the new content from the changes most likely to affect a normal match.

Battlefield 6 Update 1.4.3.0 starts the Deep Six Collection Event, running September 15 to October 12. Players complete contracts and gather Intel Devices across Battlefield 6 and REDSEC to earn Weapon Packages, Customization Rewards and the Royal Navy Diver’s Knife for full event completion.

REDSEC also gets the limited-time Phantom Program, built around hidden intelligence, Easter eggs and Fort Lyndon access-code fragments. Proximity Chat enters live testing in Battle Royale with directional environmental audio, a four-speaker limit and mute/report/block controls.

Reticle and gunplay changes

Battlefield 6 Update 1.4.3.0 overhauls reticles across weapon optics, launchers and gadgets. EA says the pass reduces clutter, sharpens lines, adjusts centre-dot sizing and uses a more pronounced glow to keep sights readable against varied backgrounds.

The patch also carries a developer warning for PlayStation 5: some scopes can show overly thick black borders, with a fix targeted for Update 1.4.3.5. That is worth knowing before you start changing display settings to solve a problem EA has already identified.

Vehicles and anti-air

Battlefield 6 Update 1.4.3.0 raises RCB-90 Patrol Boat health from 800 to 1000 and improves steering. Little Bird miniguns overheat roughly 1.5 seconds faster under continuous fire and deal 50% less damage to RCB-90 Patrol Boats and ATPs. Transport helicopters can also correctly take small-arms damage.

The directional lock-on indicator for the SLM-93A and 9K38 Igla is removed, changing how much information pilots get when infantry anti-air is targeting them. These changes sit alongside numerous vehicle camera, feedback and collision fixes.

Tsuru Reef, REDSEC and Portal

Battlefield 6 Update 1.4.3.0 rebalances Tsuru Reef Breakthrough with moved objectives, wider playable areas, additional flanking routes, boat access and spawn/vehicle adjustments. Our Tsuru Reef changes guide breaks down what that means in practice.

REDSEC receives mission-flow, Ring, redeployment, loot and spectating improvements. Portal gains King of the Hill and Domination as Verified Modes, an Ocean Sandbox Map, expanded water/cloud tools and further reliability changes for Custom Lobbies and creator systems.

Where to read every single fix

Battlefield 6 Update 1.4.3.0 contains far more individual bug fixes than any sensible article should rewrite line for line. EA’s official patch notes are the right place for the exhaustive player, vehicle, gadget, UI, Portal and REDSEC changelog.

Battlefield 6 Update 1.4.3.0 is still easy to summarise at the top level: Tidal Strike content is live, Deep Six is the main Collection Event, Phantom Program and Proximity Chat reshape REDSEC, Tsuru Reef Breakthrough is rebalanced and a large quality-of-life pass lands underneath it all.

The launch-day timing for Update 1.4.3.0

Battlefield 6 Update 1.4.3.0 followed a two-stage rollout on September 15. EA made the update available to download across platforms at 08:00 UTC, while the actual Tidal Strike content switched on at 12:00 UTC. That split explains why players could finish the patch earlier in the day without immediately seeing Deep Six, Phantom Program or Proximity Chat in their live menus.

The patch is also much broader than the three headline features. Alongside Deep Six and the Diver’s Knife, the REDSEC Phantom Program and the first Proximity Chat test, EA changed Tsuru Reef Breakthrough sectors, added Portal template support and shipped a large set of progression, balance, UI and bug fixes. The update notes are therefore worth checking even if the event rewards are not your main reason for playing.
