Battlefield 6 Marker Incursion is the 16-player PvE mission at the centre of the Dead Space: Convergence event. Human players work together against AI-controlled Marked Soldiers, destroy the smaller Marker Shrines and push towards the alien Marker beneath Area 51.

This is not a standard Battlefield multiplayer match or a REDSEC Ranked game. Your opponents are the corrupted soldiers, and the objective is to shut down the Marker’s influence. If you only focus on eliminating enemies without moving towards the shrines, you’re not completing the mission.

How to start Battlefield 6 Marker Incursion

Install the latest Battlefield 6 or REDSEC update and look for Marker Incursion among the active event playlists. Select it to join the 16-player cooperative mission. Bring a loadout you know how to use; the special DS-23 Pulse Rifle is found as a Battle Pickup during play. Our Season 5 update guide covers the wider patch.

Once Battlefield 6 Marker Incursion starts, move with the group into the corrupted area. Defeat the Marked Soldiers blocking progress and follow the active mission directions towards the shrines. Don’t stay behind just to build up a kill count while the others are moving to the next objective.

Objectives in Battlefield 6 Marker Incursion

EA’s mission briefing describes waves of Marked Soldiers and several Marker Shrines that strengthen the original Marker’s signal. The resistance grows stronger the deeper the group pushes. Destroying the shrines is essential to reaching the source of the disturbance.

Watch where the rest of the team is fighting and help clear threats around the current objective. The game is built around advancing together, so keep your attention on the shrine you need to destroy rather than treating each wave of enemies as a separate deathmatch.

Support anyone dealing with the objective and revive teammates when you can do so safely. There are up to 16 players on the same side, and a group that stays together has a better chance of surviving the stronger resistance further into the mission.

What are Marker Shrines and where do they appear?

The shrines are smaller copies built by soldiers affected by the signal. EA explains that they reinforce the Marker’s influence and draw additional hostile forces. Destroying them removes those obstacles on the way to the main Marker.

Follow the next objective shown during the mission as the group moves forward. The story is set around Area 51, where Pax Armata unearthed the Marker, but the objectives themselves are the reliable way to find your next target. Don’t waste time searching for a supposedly guaranteed shrine location from a different match.

Marked Soldiers and the best way to keep moving

Marked Soldiers are former military personnel driven into violence and confusion by the Marker’s signal. They defend the shrines and make the approach increasingly dangerous. Defeating them also earns Semiconductors, the currency used for the crossover’s cosmetic collection.

Those kills help your reward progress, but Battlefield 6 Marker Incursion is completed by advancing through the mission rather than by reaching a specific kill total. The Semiconductors guide explains other ways to earn currency through challenges and REDSEC.

How to get the DS-23 Pulse Rifle

The DS-23 Pulse Rifle is a high-rate-of-fire Battle Pickup available during the mission. Grab it when you encounter it, then keep working towards the Marker. It isn’t a permanent gun that you unlock for every loadout. Our DS-23 guide covers the crossover weapon.

EA also puts the DS-23 into Battle Royale and Rapid Royale during the event. That means you can try the Pulse Rifle without entering the PvE playlist, although those modes don’t give you the same Marker Incursion objectives. Our Rapid Royale guide covers that faster REDSEC mode.

How to finish Battlefield 6 Marker Incursion

Keep moving past the smaller shrines until the group reaches the source of the signal. EA’s final objective is clear: destroy the main Marker to stop Convergence. Watch for enemies gathering around the route and stay with the group as the fight becomes harder.

For a stronger Battlefield 6 Marker Incursion run, focus on the objective you’re being given, make use of cover and keep teammates alive when possible. Defeat the Marked Soldiers that are obstructing progress, then move on rather than lingering in an area you’ve already cleared.

Does Battlefield 6 Marker Incursion give free rewards?

The event rewards include the Aegis VII Soldier skin and RIG-Certified SMG package, alongside stickers, patches and player-card items. You earn Semiconductors through this mission, event challenges and pickups in Battle Royale or Rapid Royale. Our Dead Space rewards guide covers the collection.

The two themed Dead Space store bundles are separate purchases. You don’t need to buy them to earn the event’s regular cosmetic rewards or finish the ten-item collection for Aegis VII.

When does Battlefield 6 Marker Incursion end?

Battlefield 6 Marker Incursion is available during the Dead Space: Convergence event, scheduled from October 20 to November 10, 2026. Use the in-game event countdown for the exact remaining hours and finish any outstanding rewards before it expires.

Once Convergence closes, the seasonal roadmap moves on to the European Casino map in November and Server Browser and Platoons in December. For now, the 16-player PvE mission is the way to experience the Dead Space crossover’s main objective.
