ARC Raiders Shoring Up Defenses asks you to make Riven Tides safer for future runs. Apollo wants five Wasps and three Fireflies destroyed, a Raider structure reinforced on top of a Stacking Yard crane, and shuttered windows boarded up at the hotel.
The combat is straightforward. Finding the crane structure and the correct windows takes longer, especially if you’re wandering around ground level. Bring one ARC Alloy before deploying; it’s needed for the crane repair, while the boarding interaction uses the quest prompt.
ARC Raiders Shoring Up Defenses: Accept Apollo’s quest and pack an ARC Alloy
Shoring Up Defenses follows Off The Radar in Apollo’s quest chain. He supplies a Dockmaster’s Detector when you take it, but the item you need for the construction objective is one ARC Alloy. Bring one from your stash or collect it by destroying and salvaging ARC. The detector is a separate Riven Tides gadget for locating objects under sand during the relevant condition; it does not replace the ARC Alloy. This quest was introduced in the April Riven Tides update and remains in the wider quest progression.
ARC Raiders Shoring Up Defenses: Destroy five Wasps and three Fireflies
The quest needs five Wasp kills and three Firefly kills, and the counters work across multiple raids and other maps. Wasps are small white flying ARC, while Fireflies are larger grey machines with flamethrowers. Aim at their engines and check the two separate counters after each kill. ARC Raiders Shoring Up Defenses doesn’t require every enemy to be defeated in one Riven Tides visit. If you didn’t bring an ARC Alloy, salvage one from the wreckage before heading for the crane.
ARC Raiders Shoring Up Defenses: Locate the Stacking Yard crane
Head to the Stacking Yard in northeastern Riven Tides, where three large cranes rise above the containers. Climb the stairs or take a zipline to the top of any crane. Look between two grey metal supports for a little Raider shelter made from a sheet-metal roof propped up on flimsy poles. That’s the structure Apollo wants you to reinforce, not the crane machinery or a ground-level container. Any of the three cranes works for ARC Raiders Shoring Up Defenses.
ARC Raiders Shoring Up Defenses: Reinforce the Raider structure
At the shelter on the crane platform, interact with one of the thin support poles. The Reinforce prompt uses one ARC Alloy, and the quest updates when that interaction completes. You can bring the Alloy from Speranza or salvage it from a Wasp or Firefly. Climbing the crane without the item won’t help, so check your bag before taking the zipline back down.
Find and board the shuttered hotel windows
Head to Hotel Panorama Azzurro in western Riven Tides, enter through the main entrance and climb the stairs to the second floor. Follow the room numbers to 213. Inside, look for the window covered by a red shutter and use the Board Up Window interaction. Room 213 is one documented working location. The objective can also register at other red-shuttered hotel windows, including reports of room 106, so use the Board Up Window prompt rather than treating a particular room number as the only valid choice. You don’t need to search the outside balconies or carry a hotel keycard. ARC Raiders Shoring Up Defenses completes this part from inside the hotel room.
Combine the hotel and coastal objectives
If Battening Down is also in your journal, work the two Apollo quests together: the hotel beach and seawall are nearby, while Shoring Up Defenses uses the hotel itself. Finish the hotel boarding and shoreline sampling before you head inland to a crane. If you still need Wasps or Fireflies, engage them along the route rather than chasing distant patrols after your repairs. ARC Raiders Shoring Up Defenses doesn’t need to be completed in one continuous fight; keep the materials and your exit route in mind.
