ARC Raiders Basic and Advanced Cameras are photography gadgets added in Frozen Trail. Basic Camera is crafted at Workbench Level 1 from 8 Plastic Parts and 1 Wires, while Advanced Camera needs Utility Station Level 1 and 1 Camera Lens, 1 Calculator and 1 Electrical Components, plus its learned blueprint.
You can buy either model from Shani and use the camera for exploration or quests. The Outpost’s opening Sheltered Retreat task specifically asks for a photograph of a farmland house, so understanding where to get the gadget saves an unnecessary failed run.
Basic and Advanced Camera prices and recipes

The Basic Camera is Uncommon, weighs 0.5 and is sold by Shani for 1,920 Coins, with three listed per day. Craft one at Workbench I using 8 Plastic Parts and 1 Wires. The Advanced Camera is Rare, also weighs 0.5, and costs 3,000 Coins from Shani, likewise with three listed per day.
The Advanced crafting recipe uses 1 Camera Lens, 1 Calculator and 1 Electrical Components at Utility Station I. Among ARC Raiders Basic and Advanced Cameras, only the Advanced recipe requires a separate learned blueprint.
ARC Raiders Basic and Advanced Cameras: How to get the Basic Camera
Open Shani’s trader stock in Speranza or use your Workbench. Basic Cameras also turn up as scavenging loot and in quest rewards, including Sizing Things Up, Reduced to Rubble and Taking Stock. Select the camera in your quick-use loadout before deploying.
ARC Raiders Basic and Advanced Cameras take photographs rather than damaging enemies. For a basic quest photo, Basic Camera already gives you the necessary functionality; buying a Rare Advanced model is not an additional requirement.
How to unlock the Advanced Camera blueprint
Advanced Camera Blueprint can be scavenged and is listed as a reward from the first stage of the Outpost project. Once you find it, use Learn and Consume to unlock its Utility Station recipe. Buying an Advanced Camera provides a finished gadget, not permanent crafting knowledge.
In the ARC Raiders Basic and Advanced Cameras progression, the early Outpost project is useful because you’re already doing photography when its blueprint reward becomes available.
Take the correct picture for Sheltered Retreat

Reach Raider Level 18, accept Sheltered Retreat and bring a camera into The Blue Gate. Travel to Ruined Homestead, find the farmland house described by the project and take a photograph. Check that the stage records the image before extracting.
If you arrived without a camera or didn’t accept the project first, visiting the house does not register the photograph. ARC Raiders Basic and Advanced Cameras can both satisfy a standard photography objective; the subject and active task are what matter.
Camera features beyond the quests
Embark confirms zoom, aperture controls, manual and automatic focus racking, and a selfie mode with custom emotes. Pictures are saved to your Codex so you can review them later in the safety of Speranza. The Advanced Camera expands on the basic model.
ARC Raiders Basic and Advanced Cameras are therefore exploration gadgets with a real photography system, not just one-time quest markers. Equip the gadget, frame your subject and use the on-screen controls to adjust the shot.
Where to find crafting materials
Plastic Parts are ordinary scavenging materials. Wires and Electrical Components are associated with electrical loot and recycling. Calculators can be found in Technological and Electrical locations on Pendola Pass, while the Camera Lens is a specialist recipe component worth keeping for the Advanced version.
The two ARC Raiders Basic and Advanced Cameras crafting recipes use very different resources, so compare your stash with Shani’s Coin prices before deciding which one to make.
Camera quest not completing
Check that Sheltered Retreat is active, your Camera is equipped and you have photographed the named farmland house rather than an unrelated building. The Outpost interface has had a known missing notification-dot issue after stage completion, so open the project tab manually when the alert does not appear.
The ARC Raiders Basic and Advanced Cameras are separate gadgets; owning an Advanced Camera blueprint does not mean you already possess a camera in your quick-use slots. Craft or buy the physical item before leaving.
