Apex Legends Season 32 New Ranks will introduce Iron, Emerald and Grandmaster when Respawn overhauls Ranked in early 2027. Rookie is being replaced by Iron, Emerald slots between Platinum and Diamond, and Grandmaster becomes the highest standard rank, with Apex Predator reserved for the top 750 Grandmasters at the end of the season.

The split is bigger than adding three badge colours. Iron through Emerald form Open League, where kills carry more weight and everyone starts from the dropship. Diamond through Grandmaster form Pro-Am, with Drop Zone, Legend Bans and heavier emphasis on placement. These rules are planned for early 2027, not the November Season 31 update.

The new ranking order runs from Iron through Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Emerald, Diamond, Master and Grandmaster, followed by Apex Predator recognition for the highest-ranked Grandmasters.

Among the Apex Legends Season 32 New Ranks, Emerald provides an additional stepping stone before Diamond and the more competitive Pro-Am rules. Master will have four divisions rather than remaining a single large rank, giving players more visible stages on the way towards Grandmaster.

Open League versus Pro-Am League

Open League covers Iron through Emerald and keeps regular dropship deployment. It is designed for the larger Ranked audience and places more relative weight on eliminations. Pro-Am League begins at Diamond, where lobbies use the Legend Banning phase and Drop Zone deployments introduced for high-tier Ranked in Season 31.

The Pro-Am scoring system places greater emphasis on placement than Open League, making sustained survival and endgame performance more valuable as you climb. That doesn’t remove the value of eliminations; the emphasis changes to fit the more competitive environment.

Getting to Diamond in Season 32 will change your match rules as well as your badge: it’s the first Pro-Am tier, bringing the higher-ranked scoring approach, Drop Zone starts and Legend Bans.

How will Ranked RP scoring change?

Respawn is simplifying how kill and placement RP are counted in Season 32. Instead of separate assists and participation tallies, the team will receive credit through team kills. Placement and kill values will be fixed under the new system, and RP entry costs will be adjusted by division instead of applying one entry cost across an entire rank tier.

The new formula gives each team kill a set RP value and each placement a set RP value. In Open League, fighting is weighted more heavily; in Pro-Am, placing well late in a match counts for more. You’ll still want both, but the balance changes as you move into Diamond.

That is different from the Season 31 Challenger and Goliath Match adjustments, which alter entry costs based on how far your squad’s rank sits from the lobby median. The Season 32 changes redesign the overall scoring structure.

How to reach Grandmaster and Apex Predator

Grandmaster is planned as the highest regular rank, above Master. To reach it, players will need to climb through the Pro-Am divisions and earn enough RP under the new scoring rules. Respawn has not announced one universal RP total that will remain valid for every season, so use the live in-game progress bar once the overhaul arrives.

Apex Predator becomes a recognition for the top 750 Grandmasters at the end of the season. Merely reaching Grandmaster will not automatically make every player a Predator. If you’re aiming for that top group, your final leaderboard position matters rather than simply being among the first players promoted.

That means the Apex Legends Season 32 New Ranks create an extra competitive stretch above Master. Players used to climbing into Master and stopping will have Grandmaster divisions and the Predator leaderboard to consider.

New Ranked rewards in Season 32

Respawn says Season 32 will feature new Ranked Auras, dive trails, and Epic and Legendary Apex Packs tied to progression and promotions. These are additions to the visual rank badges and other existing cosmetic recognition systems. The roadmap does not give a complete rank-by-rank reward table with an exact pack count for every tier.

Season 32 also removes the weekly Ranked Ladder structure. Rather than aiming for a separate weekly ladder position, players will follow the revamped Open and Pro-Am progression with its league-specific goals and seasonal rewards.

When do Apex Legends Season 32 New Ranks go live?

Respawn targets early 2027 for Season 32. The exact release date and UK hour are not confirmed in the October 20 roadmap. For now, Season 31’s November changes come first, including Diamond+ Legend Bans, the Lobby Tier RP adjustment and a move back to Level 20 as the Ranked entry requirement.

The sequence is worth remembering: Season 31 adds Level 20 access, Legend Bans and Challenger/Goliath match labels. Season 32 introduces Iron, Emerald, Grandmaster, the Open/Pro-Am split and its new RP formula.

These new tiers are planned for the season after the November overhaul. For what changes first, see our Season 31 Ranked guide, including Level 20 access, Legend Bans and Challenger/Goliath RP adjustments.
