Leak night strikes again and it looks like we may just have been played for fools for an entire week straight. Thanks to Atsu and Rukasu we yet again have all the info for this week’s chapter. Here’s everything about MHA 336 starting with its title: Villain.

As always, full story spoilers are ahead! We’ve also got last week’s leaks if you haven’t kept up.

Getting right into the new chapter, MHA 336 begins with a small look into some training that Bakugo and Deku have done together. Bakugo shows off the fruits of his labor with a Cluster technique which concentrates and detonates more sweat together for more powerful, concentrated blasts. He even wears his winter outfit to sweat more. Todoroki is also mentioned to be working on control over his two halves.

Some of the main cast then talk about their chances in the upcoming fight. Kaminari and Mineta mention that they think they have good odds with two major players weakened and Gigantomachia captured and contained. Bakugo calls out this naivete, telling them that finding All for One is a near impossibility, and thus they’re basically forced to wait for the villains to bring the fight to them, handicapped as they may be. Even then, Japan is terribly understaffed with heroes, and Shigaraki was already insanely injured during the War Arc, and thus his weakness shouldn’t be seen as an assured victory. Iida once again has to scold Deku, reminding him to not do anything rash on his own as Uraraka’s speech has finally calmed the citizenry and brought people closer than ever.

The scene shifts to Tooru Hagakure, who we were led to believe was the traitor in the last chapter. She mentions that someone, in particular, has been pretty depressed since the war. This someone apparently hadn’t even smiled once. She is snooping around a nearby forest, listening in to a conversation of three people. One of the voices mentions needing to obey due to a certain someone’s orders and that there would be a number of signs leading up to something which someone out of the loop would never notice.

Tooru then informs the reader: Aoyama is the true identity of the traitor within UA. The other two people in the forest are his parents. If he does not act as a traitor from within the school grounds, his parents will be killed. As the boy can be seen crying, it is clear the bonds he’s formed with his classmates are real, and that weighs on him as he revealed the location of training sites in the past. None of the three love the situation, but his parents clearly take it better.

Starting a small flashback, we see a young Aoyama with his parents. The boy had feared being the only one who was different from the rest, wanting to be just like anyone else. To those who think this seems out of character, it is revealed that Aoyama was born Quirkless and that his parents had become indebted to All for One so he could go to UA and chase his dreams.

Back to the present, Aoyama is still in tears, claiming that he had finally thought they were free after All Might defeated All for One. Unfortunately, with the war’s conclusion, their fates are in All for One’s hands as much as before, and the party agrees to keep doing what they have to to stay alive. Tooru nearly leaves to warn a teacher but is interrupted by Deku approaching the scene.

Apparently, Deku had heard Tooru’s mumblings of the traitor and went to ask the three of his own accord, also noting the odd behaviors shown since the end of the war. He continues to sob as he tells Deku the full truth of how the League kept up with Class 1-A and calls himself a truly disgusting villain. The cheese spelled out on Deku’s balcony long ago that read “I know everything” is brought back up as direct foreshadowing to the reveal. End of chapter.

Interesting that Horikoshi really baited the ENTIRE fanbase for a solid week, but I am more impressed with the outcome in MHA 336. Despite some suspicions floating around about Aoyama, the discussion of the traitor’s identity was mostly centered on Hagakure and Kaminari. Aoyama’s past foiling Deku’s is also one that truly speaks to how lucky one can be to meet the right people, as Midoriya’s mother could have just as easily been the one to plead for a Quirk for her desperate child. Let’s see just how the scene pans out from here!
