Clash Royale Giant Evolution is arriving with the November 2026 King vs. King season, adding a Rage trail to the classic building-targeting Giant. You can unlock this Evolution through Pass Royale or by spending Wild Shards. The new ability helps a full push advance behind Giant rather than only increasing his own tower damage.
Giant still walks towards buildings, but after taking enough damage he becomes enraged and begins leaving Rage behind him. Each time he attacks, that trail grows. This guide covers the confirmed unlock methods, how the Rage trail benefits supporting troops and the details Supercell has not yet published.
How to Unlock Clash Royale Giant Evolution

You can obtain Clash Royale Giant Evolution through November’s Pass Royale or use Wild Shards to unlock it. Those are the two official options named in Supercell’s October 27 season announcement. You do not need to complete a specific Royal Market purchase or daily puzzle for the Evolution.
If you already have Wild Shards, check the card’s Evolution screen for the requirements as soon as the feature is live. The standard Evolution requirement is six shards in total, and one Wild Shard counts as one shard towards an Evolution of your choice. If you have no Giant-specific shards, you would need six Wild Shards; if you already have some, use Wild Shards only for the remaining progress. Check your in-game shard total before spending.
The Pass Royale route and Wild Shard route give access to the same Evolution. They should not be confused with Mirror Evolution, which has a Week 2 Shop release as well as a Wild Shard unlock method. The two new cards are promoted together in November but don’t follow identical Shop schedules.
How the Clash Royale Giant Evolution Rage Trail Works
Clash Royale Giant Evolution still targets buildings. The difference is that after he has taken enough damage, he becomes enraged and creates a trail of Rage as he advances. Other troops following the trail get the Rage boost, helping the push behind him move and attack with greater urgency.
Each successful Giant attack makes the Rage trail larger. Keeping Giant alive long enough to hit a building can therefore improve the space available for your supporting troops to use. If he is defeated too early, he loses opportunities to grow that area.
Supercell has not given an exact damage threshold for activating the Rage state in its October 27 announcement. It also hasn’t listed numerical Rage percentages, trail duration, radius or Giant’s evolution cycle count there. Avoid treating speculative early figures as final in-game statistics.
How to Build a Push Around Giant Evolution
The main benefit of Clash Royale Giant Evolution is how he supports troops travelling behind him. Start with Giant as the frontline building target, then bring in units that can make use of the path he leaves. His job is to withstand incoming attacks while your supporting troops deal with defenders and apply pressure to the tower.
Grouping the support closely enough to pass through the trail is useful, but stacking everything into one spot can make your push vulnerable to spells and splash attacks. You still need to protect fragile units, because Rage improves their performance rather than making them immune to damage.
For example, if Giant reaches a tower and continues attacking, his growing trail may allow more of your trailing units to benefit. If the opponent stops Giant before he activates, the same push will have less Rage support. The effectiveness of a plan therefore depends on when you play Giant and how well you maintain the rest of your units.
Clash Royale Giant Evolution rewards keeping your frontline alive, not simply putting Giant at the bridge without support. If you want a deck focused on overwhelming pushes, consider how your other cards can defend Giant long enough for his attack-triggered trail expansion to matter.
Does Giant Evolution Rage Every Friendly Troop?
No global Rage effect has been announced. Supercell specifically says Clash Royale Giant Evolution leaves a trail that boosts troops following behind him. Troops far away from that trail should not be assumed to receive the same benefit. The official description is about the path Giant creates, not a permanent arena-wide aura.
The Rage trail also grows with Giant’s attacks. That is not the same as saying it continuously expands on a timer or spreads whenever any friendly troop attacks. Until the in-game ability details provide exact interaction numbers, plan around the two documented triggers: Giant taking enough damage to become enraged and his attacks expanding the trail.
Clash Royale Giant Evolution vs. Electro Giant Evolution
These cards are different. October’s Electro Giant Evolution used an improved electric pulse that weakened and reduced the levels of nearby enemies. Clash Royale Giant Evolution is the ordinary Giant’s new form, focusing on Rage support for friendly troops following him.
They also come from different season promotions. Electro Giant Evolution arrived during Shocktober, while regular Giant Evolution is part of November’s King vs. King season. If you’re searching the card list, make sure you are looking at Giant rather than Electro Giant.
When Does Clash Royale Giant Evolution Release?
Clash Royale Giant Evolution is a November King vs. King season addition. Supercell confirms the Pass Royale and Wild Shard unlocks but doesn’t specify a separate exact launch hour in its October 27 announcement. Giant and Mirror are also boosted throughout the King of Cards event, which runs November 9 through December 7.
If you’re trying to unlock the card early, watch the game’s actual November Pass Royale track and Evolution screen. Don’t assume it is a Crown Token reward, and don’t mix up the Week 2 Mirror Shop launch with Giant’s advertised availability.
The most valuable part of Clash Royale Giant Evolution is the Rage trail’s teamwork. Building around his ability to keep moving and attack is a better starting point than expecting an unconfirmed damage increase or precise Rage threshold.
