Clover RPG Inner Realm is where a newly awakened Grimoire becomes useful in combat. Press U and choose Inner Realm to find Grimoire Echo, which teaches passive skills, and Meditation, where you unlock active spells and traits. You need your Grimoire from the level-15 Arcane Whispers ceremony for its magic-specific teachings.
Levelling does not automatically unlock every new spell. The two teaching interactions are separate, and the cost of an ability may include Marks, skill points, Insight or Manahearts. If you have magic but can only cast one thing, the next step is to inspect both teaching points.
How to access the Clover RPG Inner Realm
Press U on PC to open the Mission Bird menu and select Inner Realm. Walk around the hub to find its Grimoire Echo, Meditation, merchant and practice dummy. After the starter broom quest, the Clover RPG Inner Realm is not a single-use location; enter it again after levelling or earning the materials for an ability. Console controllers are supported, although the exact button mapping may differ.
Finish Arcane Whispers and your first Grimoire at level 15 before learning magic-specific passives; our beginner levelling guide covers the route there. Go to Wisdoms Peak, use the portal below the floating island and talk to the Announcer inside the tower. Level 10 was a testing requirement in older guides. Having a Grimoire determines your magic type; it doesn’t teach its entire ability kit automatically.

Clover RPG Inner Realm: Grimoire Echo passive skills
Interact with Grimoire Echo and choose its teaching option. The available passives match your rolled magic type and can change mana use, combat effects or movement. They work without requiring their own combat button. The Grimoire Echo charges Marks and skill points, so read the description and requirement before accepting a new teaching.
A Wind passive called Aerial Efficiency has been reported to lower mana costs while airborne, while Light can have a Blindstrike effect associated with blinding targets. These are examples from community-documented skill lists, not a promise that your magic has every passive. The Clover RPG Inner Realm shows the actual entries available for your own Grimoire.
Meditation and active abilities in the Clover RPG Inner Realm
Walk to Meditation and interact to see the active skills. Select the one you want and read its level gate, skill point requirement and any extra resource such as Insight or Manaheart. Follow the on-screen confirmation to learn the skill. An active spell has to be learned and assigned, unlike a passive that works automatically.
You can revisit Meditation after each level-up. The Kamo and Mushroom quest guide lists repeatable sources of EXP for that progression. If a skill entry is highlighted but won’t unlock, make sure you can pay its full cost rather than only meeting the required level. The Clover RPG Inner Realm also provides a practice dummy so you can try your new combat rotation before fighting a boss.

Which levels unlock Clover RPG Inner Realm skills?
The first Grimoire is obtained at level 15 in the release. Community guides cite levels 25 and 35 as examples of later Meditation gates, but no reliable release-wide list proves that every magic receives the same ability at either level. Look at your actual Meditation menu for the skill-specific requirement.
| Milestone | What to check |
|---|---|
| Level 15 | Arcane Whispers and first Grimoire passives |
| Level 25 | Possible additional Meditation skill, depending on magic |
| Level 35 | Possible later active skill, depending on magic |
| Level 50 | Separate Augment quest at the Laboratory |
You can unlock an ability later if you lack its materials today. The Clover RPG Inner Realm is therefore a useful place to return regularly, rather than a room you visit once. A level requirement printed in an early-access video may have changed, so check the released spell’s own tooltip.
How to equip a spell after learning it
Open Tab for your Grimoire and ability slots. Assign your new active spell, then use the control shown for its slot. PC community controls describe G for Grimoire activation and number keys for assigned spells; use the current in-game binding if yours differs. Test the cast on the practice dummy and watch your mana cost.
Passives won’t appear as extra active buttons. If your Clover RPG Inner Realm teaching seems absent, inspect the passive effect rather than searching the hotbar. If the Grimoire Echo won’t teach anything, check that your first magic was awarded at the Announcer and that you have enough Marks and skill points.
Why Clover RPG Inner Realm abilities stay locked
If you cannot enter, check the U menu and your current quest state. If Meditation shows a level requirement you meet but the action remains unavailable, inspect its other costs. If a spell is learned but won’t cast, equip it from Tab and check mana and cooldown. The Clover RPG Inner Realm should be your normal stop after unlocking a new magic or reaching a new ability level.
Open U, talk to the Echo for passives, meditate for active skills and practise. If your magic type does not suit your build, check magic reroll options before replacing it. You can then decide which further traits or spells fit your build instead of spending points blindly.
