Clover RPG Beginner Guide starts in Kamo Village with Chief Farris and takes you towards level 15, when Arcane Whispers unlocks your first random magic. Guides that say level 10 describe an earlier testing build, not the October 2026 release. The best way to progress is through the tutorial, broom quest and repeatable blue-marker missions.
In this Clover RPG Beginner Guide, you can avoid unnecessary travel by accepting tasks from nearby NPCs, collecting materials along the way and checking your Journal before leaving each area. Combat practice and spending your stat points also matter more than rushing into difficult fights.
Clover RPG Beginner Guide: finish Kamo Village tutorial
Speak to Chief Farris, choose a starter weapon at Vulcan and help Eira gather Wolfsbane and Bamboo. Gauntlets are fast, Novice Blade is balanced, Longsword deals heavy damage and Rustic Spear gives extra reach. Changing the fighting-style class later can require a wipe, so the Clover RPG Beginner Guide starts with a weapon you actually enjoy using.
Johan’s Winds of Freedom requires one Cloth and two Wood; it rewards a broom, 200 EXP and 25 Marks. Mine three ores for Old Roderick, defeat three wolves for Captain Dalen, and start an F-Rank mission from Eleanor at the Guild Hall. Return to Chief Farris after the tutorial tasks are completed.

Levels 1–5: stats and combat
In the Clover RPG Beginner Guide, press Tab to spend earned stat points, J to read the current quest, M to view the map and F for block or a well-timed parry. Practise against wolves before tackling harder bandits. The broom saves travel time, but its altitude limit means some locations must be reached by portal.
Avoid Bounty Hunter when your main goal is PvE levelling: its trait penalty halves PvE EXP. At level 5, Weapons Expert is another trait worth inspecting because it can improve proficiency gains. Use U for the Mission Bird, but Guild missions depend on tokens, so rotate repeatable NPC quests when you’re out.
Clover RPG Beginner Guide: repeatable quests up to level 15
Assembly Hunter Legolas offers A True Hunt, requiring you to defeat the Dire Wolf for 200 EXP and 50 Marks. Javier’s Waking Nightmare is a longer job at Twilight Tombs: activate the four pillars, then defeat five Nightcharmers for 200 EXP and 50 Marks. Both are repeatable after roughly ten minutes. Daniel’s Timber! is a useful filler, paying 75 EXP and 25 Marks for five Wood. For the Clover RPG Beginner Guide route, clear whichever combat task your current equipment can manage reliably before tackling the other.
| NPC | Objective | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Legolas | Dire Wolf | 200 EXP, 50 Marks |
| Javier | Activate four pillars; defeat five Nightcharmers | 200 EXP, 50 Marks |
| Daniel | Five Wood | 75 EXP, 25 Marks |
Use Guild missions and Thieves Fort events while the repeatables cool down. Follow the active quest in J so you do not confuse repeatable cooldowns with locked progression. With every level gained, check Tab and allocate points to the build you are using.
Mushroom Region and waypoint access
Mushroom Village and Great Mushroom Forest offer more objectives after Kamo; our full NPC quest reference lists their requirements and rewards. Shroombert asks for four Mushmites and two Mushknights (100 EXP, 50 Marks), Hodan pays 100 EXP and 75 Marks for five Mushknights, and Snappy rewards 75 EXP, 25 Marks and six Mana Potions for collecting five each of Purple, Blue, Red and Yellow Glowshrooms. If the combat targets are too dangerous, gather materials or continue your Kamo route until you are stronger.
Brother Grimm’s Waypoint Repair needs three Manahearts and three Hearthstones and unlocks the portal after giving 100 EXP. You need not complete every Mushroom quest before earning magic, but fixing the waypoint makes returning to this region easier.

Clover RPG Beginner Guide: Arcane Whispers and Wisdoms Peak
At level 15, check J for Arcane Whispers and locate Wisdoms Peak in Kamo using M. Walk to the floating island’s base and interact with its portal. Choose “Embrace it” to reach the top without fighting the broom altitude limit. Speak to the NPC outside the tower, then the Announcer inside. This awards a random Grimoire.
The Clover RPG Beginner Guide reaches its first major goal when you roll Flame, Light, Wind, Lightning, Shadow, Beast or Time. Check your magic in Tab. Use U to enter the Inner Realm, where Meditation unlocks active skills and the Grimoire Echo teaches passives. Those skills have additional requirements, so obtaining the book does not unlock the entire kit.
Fixes for the most common early problems
If Arcane Whispers has not appeared at level 10, continue to level 15: the earlier threshold belonged to testing. If your broom cannot reach Wisdoms Peak, interact with the portal below it. If a repeatable NPC will not offer a task, inspect its cooldown in your Journal. The current Clover RPG release supports PC and console, not mobile; console button prompts can differ from the PC keys above.
Finish Farris’s tutorial, claim Johan’s broom, spend your stat points, then alternate Kamo’s repeatable hunts until level 15. The Clover RPG Beginner Guide ends with Arcane Whispers at Wisdoms Peak; after that, visit the Inner Realm for your new magic. If you would prefer to try for another type, review magic reroll costs and outcomes before spending Essence. If an objective stalls, check its Journal counter before leaving the area.
