Enter the Cursed Portal in the lobby during a two-hour gate window, win 1v1 matches to earn Challenger Tokens, and work towards the limited leaderboard prizes. Tokens also buy exclusive items in the Tournament Shop, without lowering the running total used for your leaderboard position.
Three losses end a run. There is one free retry per gate, while a paid re-entry costs 2,000 Gems. Matches are played to 10 points with a two-point winning margin. The gate schedule changes its UK clock time after the October 25 clock change, so check the timings below before joining.
Enter the Cursed Portal in the lobby
To join the Volleyball Legends Cursed Tournament, open Volleyball Legends on Roblox and return to the main lobby. Find the Cursed Portal, then interact with it while a tournament gate is open. This is a separate 1v1 event, not normal team play or the ranked 6v6 queue. If a gate is closed, you need to return for the next scheduled window.
Volleyball Legends Cursed Tournament gate times
The Volleyball Legends Cursed Tournament gates are open 6:00–8:00 AM and 6:00–8:00 PM US Eastern Time. From Sunday October 25, this is 10 AM–noon GMT and 10 PM–midnight GMT in Britain. The first playable gate was Saturday October 24 at 6 PM Eastern, which was 11 PM BST. The last scheduled gate is 6–8 AM Eastern on October 31; there is no Saturday evening gate after the event ends.

First-to-ten rules and the three-strike system
Each Volleyball Legends Cursed Tournament match is first to 10 with a win-by-two rule. At 9–9, the game continues until one side gets a two-point lead. Every lost match adds one strike, and leaving a match counts as a loss. Three strikes eliminate you from the current run. You can re-enter once for free per gate, or spend 2,000 Gems to buy back in. When the next gate begins, you receive a fresh run automatically.
Challenger Tokens and win milestones
Challenger Tokens are earned by winning Volleyball Legends Cursed Tournament matches. The update also awards larger milestone bonuses at 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 40 wins, so consecutive wins matter. Your rank counts Challenger Tokens earned across all event runs. A bad run or spending tokens in the shop does not erase the accumulated leaderboard score.
Leaderboard prizes by final rank
Your Volleyball Legends Cursed Tournament leaderboard rewards depend on placement. Top 10,000 gives the Cursed Top 10K title. Top 1,000 also gets the Cursed Top 1K title, a Cursed 1K Flame Jersey and Ghost Skull ball. Top 100 adds the Cursed Top 100 title, Cursed 100 Flame Jersey and The Cursed 100 score effect. First place adds the secret Cursed Top 1 title, Cursed 1 Flame Jersey and a custom developer-made player card. Higher placement tiers also receive the lower-tier prizes.
Volleyball Legends Cursed Tournament shop prices
The Cursed Tournament Shop prices are 16,000 tokens for The Beat of Madness score effect, 10,000 for the Cosmic Horror player card, 6,000 for Soul Catch emote, 3,000 each for BOO and EVIL titles, and 1,500 for The Ancient One ball. Lucky Style Spin packs begin at 400 tokens, Lucky Ability Spin packs at 300 and Gem packs at 700. The packs come in several sizes; those figures are their cheapest listed starting prices.
Ways to win more 1v1 matches
An effective Volleyball Legends Cursed Tournament run starts with reliable fundamentals: practise the timing of your serves, avoid giving away easy points with rushed spikes, and watch the opponent’s positioning before deciding whether to attack down the line or across court. As the score approaches ten, remember that you still need a two-point margin. Winning a close rally safely often beats gambling on a spectacular shot.
Troubleshooting gate access and strikes
Don’t abandon your 1v1 match just because the opponent wins the first few rallies, since abandoning the match costs one of your three strikes. If the Cursed Portal cannot be entered, check the time and whether the gate is active. If all your retries are used, wait for the next gate instead of paying Gems unless you have a clear reason to buy back in.
Tournament finish and token expiry
The Volleyball Legends Cursed Tournament closes on October 31 at 11:30 AM US Eastern, or 3:30 PM GMT. The Tournament Shop remains open until November 7 at 10:30 AM Eastern, which is also 3:30 PM GMT after US daylight saving ends. Spend your tokens by then: they reset with the next tournament. Kijo’s separate limited return runs one hour longer, until 11:30 AM Eastern on November 7.
