Grow a Garden Haunted Egg and Haunted Seed Packs are different rewards from the 2026 Ghoul Garden Halloween event. One gives pets and the other gives seeds, with separate activities and drop rates. The Haunted Knight is the rarest normal egg hatch, while Haunted Hallow is the rarest standard seed-pack result.

You can work toward both while growing Halloween crops and earning Candy Corn. The egg is obtained through Witch’s Brew or the Frightening Fauna shop, whereas the Black Cat pays Haunted Seed Packs for sets of requested fruit. These are the reported odds and the steps that matter.

Grow a Garden Haunted Egg: how to get one

The standard Grow a Garden Haunted Egg is listed for 1,500 Candy Corn at Frightening Fauna when in stock. It can also appear as a reward when you contribute Halloween fruit to Witch’s Brew. Current community documentation gives an ordinary contributor a 16.67% egg reward chance per completed cauldron fill.

The Halloween Market refreshes about every five minutes. If you cannot find the egg, check the next stock rotation, or feed the cauldron and collect its rewards. A purchased egg guarantees the egg itself but not which pet hatches. For directions around the event, see the published Ghoul Garden 2026 overview.

Grow a Garden Haunted Egg pet list and percentages

Every Grow a Garden Haunted Egg has a four-hour hatch timer. The normal version contains four pets. Their reported probabilities total 100%:

PetRarityHatch chance
Skull SnailRare55%
Lantern WispLegendary35%
GargoyleMythical9.5%
Haunted KnightPrismatic0.5%

Skull Snail can improve seed drops and advance crop growth. Lantern Wisp’s decoration-related pet XP ability requires a Wisp Well, rather than a Haunted Well. Gargoyle can grant nearby pets XP or shorten cooldowns when it turns to stone. Haunted Knight requires an eligible age-300 Nightmare pet; its ability resets that pet to age 31 when applying the haunting effect.

The rarest Grow a Garden Haunted Egg outcome, Haunted Knight, averages one per 200 independent hatches. That is not a guarantee. Even 100 eggs only give about a 39.4% chance of seeing one. The Premium Haunted Egg sold for Robux has the same reported 0.5% Knight chance, although its other outcomes differ slightly.

How the Black Cat gives Haunted Seed Packs

The Black Cat wants three specific Halloween fruits with minimum weights for each set. Sets one through fourteen each award a standard Haunted Seed Pack. The fifteenth gives an Exotic Haunted Seed Pack, then the sequence restarts. A Grow a Garden Haunted Egg cannot be earned from these seed-pack requests, because the Cat’s rewards are plants rather than pets.

Set one asks for two Candy Corn Carrots weighing at least 0.25 kg and 0.28 kg and a Spider Shrub at least 0.7 kg. Later requests become more demanding, calling for heavier crops, Haunted mutations and rare seeds such as Blood Kiwi and Fang Root. Keep suitable fruit in reserve as you harvest instead of selling everything immediately.

Some later Black Cat sets need Haunted-mutated fruit as well as a minimum weight. A Haunted Sprinkler can help produce the modifier, but it can’t replace the specified crop type. Our Black Cat quest guide lists all 15 requested sets so you can save suitable harvests before selling.

Haunted Seed Pack plants and drop rates

These event-wiki percentages describe the Black Cat’s standard and Exotic pack pools, not the Grow a Garden Haunted Egg hatch table. They are community figures rather than independently published developer drop rates.

Candy Corn Carrot31%30%
Spider Shrub22%22%
Pumpkin Lantern15%15%

Witch’s Broom8%8%

Blood Kiwi5%5%
Fang Root1.5%1.5%
Haunted Hallow0.5%0.5%
Rainbow Exotic outcomeNone1%

The rare Haunted Hallow seed sits at 0.5% in each pack, matching the numerical chance of Haunted Knight in a Grow a Garden Haunted Egg. They remain independent rolls. The Exotic version also has a 1% Rainbow Exotic result, reducing the common Candy Corn Carrot share by one point.

Are the Halloween Part 2 packs the same?

The October 24 Trick-or-Treat House introduced a separate Halloween Haunted Seed Pack reward. Its planting rules and pool are different from the Black Cat’s standard Haunted Seed Pack, so the Black Cat drop table cannot be applied to it. Don’t apply the percentages above to a separately named Haunted Halloween pack. The new house spends Candy Corn for random rewards and can increase its cost between resets.

Check your pack’s exact name and the seed’s planting tooltip. Halloween house packs and Black Cat packs have different reward pools, so a seed that fits the ordinary garden may not be intended for the Ghoul Garden plot. The Trick or Treating guide explains the separate house rolls and rising Candy Corn cost.

Which should you collect first?

Choose the Grow a Garden Haunted Egg if you want pets, especially the Gargoyle at 9.5% or the extremely rare Knight. Work on Black Cat sets when you want more seasonal crops, but remember that Candy Corn Carrot and Spider Shrub account for 53% of ordinary pack results.

Use surplus Halloween fruit for Witch’s Brew or sell it while keeping the exact weights the Black Cat wants. The Candy Corn farming guide covers repeatable ways to afford eggs. If pets are the priority, compare the rewards with our best Halloween pets guide before spending.

When do the rewards end?

Ghoul Garden Part 2 is officially listed from October 24 at 20:30 UTC to October 31 at 20:00 UTC, or 9:30 PM BST at launch and 8 PM GMT at its listed end. Individual reward expiry times have not all been separately confirmed.

The Grow a Garden Haunted Egg gives one of four pets while Black Cat Haunted Seed Packs produce plants. Check which reward you need before spending Candy Corn or turning in weighted fruit, and remember that a rare drop remains random even after many attempts.
