How to equip the secret outfit in a Costume Closet
Return to camp and use a Costume Closet to manage your pieces. If you don’t already have one, check the Tier 1 Crafting Bench for its recipe. The Costume Closet costs three Wood at a Tier 1 Crafting Bench.
Equip the Lobster head in the head slot, the Mummy body piece in the shirt slot, Dinosaur legs below that and the Pirate hook as your accessory. Check every slot individually before leaving. Why the 99 Nights in the Forest Fancy Dressing badge might not unlock
Start with your equipment slots. You need the Lobster head, Mummy body, Dinosaur legs and Pirate hook. A Pirate hat is not the hook, and a Dinosaur head cannot replace the legs. The secret combination depends on the slots as well as the costume themes.
Second, make sure the door interaction finished. A house that hasn’t been activated or is still cooling down may not count as a completed trick-or-treat. Don’t change outfits halfway through the interaction until you’ve earned the badge, even if you normally use fast outfit swaps for farming.
Finally, check whether you have unlocked the expanded Badge Pack from Happy’s lobby shop. The additional Halloween challenges appear through that pack, so having the right outfit will not help if the relevant objective is still locked. Fancy Dressing, Full Costuming and regular Costuming
The 99 Nights in the Forest Fancy Dressing badge is a one-off secret mixed-outfit achievement. Ordinary Costuming asks you to trick-or-treat in a full matching outfit, while Full Costuming asks you to use each of the six matching themes before night 99. You can complete all three in the same survival run, but each needs its own qualifying house visit.
