Blood of Dawnwalker Home Sweet Home is a nightmare quest at Silts Tower. Beating the Keeper of Nightmares sends Coen back to the family home, but that repetition is part of the quest. Update 1.1 fixes real bugs that could leave players trapped after sliding downhill or stuck on an endless loading screen.
The October 22 patch also fixes damage and performance faults. Below is the Blood of Dawnwalker Home Sweet Home escape route, the alternative Together Forever ending and what to try if a broken section still won’t progress. This guide contains story spoilers.
Where to start Blood of Dawnwalker Home Sweet Home

Travel to Silts Tower in The Silts, at the southwest edge of the map. Enter at ground level, climb to the top and open the door to begin the dream. This costs four time segments, so make a separate manual save outside the tower if you may want both endings. The time-system guide explains why that cost affects the rest of your campaign.
How to escape the Blood of Dawnwalker Home Sweet Home dream
Fight the first four sword spectres to help Coen’s mother, then defeat the three spectres near the siblings. The flying Keeper of Nightmares comes next. Use Burning Blood to bring it down or create openings with parries. Once it’s beaten, the dream sends Coen back to the family home.
For a normal Blood of Dawnwalker Home Sweet Home completion, follow this route:
- Finish the first cycle, beating both spectre groups and the Keeper of Nightmares.
- When Coen returns to the house, repeat the dream until you reach the second spectre encounter near the well.
- After the fight, enter Focus Mode and inspect the glowing well. It becomes available on the second, third or fourth run, not the first.
- Follow the voice, enter the cave and use the portal to reach the church memory.
- Interact with the church memories in order: Alin, Esme, Coen. Then go through the newly available exit.
- Follow the boy into the meadow, inspect the red tree stump, use Clawride to get down to the river and finish the conversation.
- Back in the open world, defeat the attacking enemy and loot the legendary Astrologer’s Ring.
The second run isn’t a failed checkpoint in Blood of Dawnwalker Home Sweet Home. Once the well becomes available, you can take the escape path instead of fighting the Keeper again. To pursue the special ending, leave the well alone and keep completing the dream.
How to unlock Together Forever
For Together Forever, stay in the nightmare and complete four full cycles, defeating the Keeper on each run. At the start of the fifth, speak to Coen’s family. That triggers the alternative ending and its trophy or achievement.
This ending is missable. Keep a save before completing the fourth cycle if you want both outcomes. After Together Forever, reload that earlier save and take the well route to escape normally and obtain the Astrologer’s Ring.
Blood of Dawnwalker Home Sweet Home bugs fixed in Update 1.1

Bandai Namco fixed several Blood of Dawnwalker Home Sweet Home bugs in Update 1.1. They include getting stuck after sliding downhill, unexpectedly weak attacks, sharp difficulty spikes and severe frame-rate drops at the start of the boss fight.
The patch also fixes Coen teleporting during dialogue, a bright orange screen, quickslots switching unexpectedly and infinite loading when he dies while entering the portal. These faults are different from the scripted restart at the house after defeating the Keeper.
| Problem | Patch 1.1 change | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| Blocked after sliding downhill | Progression fix | Update and retry from before the slope |
| Coen deals too little damage | Damage correction | Retry the fight on 1.1 |
| Boss fight runs poorly | Start-of-fight performance fix | Retry after updating |
| Loading after dying in portal | Infinite-loading fix | Restart and reload before entering |
| Dream starts over after boss | Intentional loop | Inspect the well on a later cycle |
What if Blood of Dawnwalker Home Sweet Home is still stuck?
If you’re still stuck after updating, reload a checkpoint or manual save from before the affected sequence. For the hill problem, approach the descent again on the patched build. If the portal hangs after Coen dies, restart and load before the transition. Preserve earlier saves while investigating.
If combat is the problem, check your difficulty. Update 1.1 adds a new, easier Story preset and renames the previous Story difficulty to Forgiving. Lowering it can make the Keeper fight manageable, but won’t fix a missing quest trigger.
If the dream keeps repeating, go to the well beside the second group of spectres on a later cycle. After leaving through the cave portal, interact with the church memories in this order: Alin, Esme, Coen. These are puzzle steps, not missing objectives.
Can you finish Blood of Dawnwalker Home Sweet Home without four loops?
Four complete cycles are required for Together Forever, but not the normal escape. In Blood of Dawnwalker Home Sweet Home, investigate the well on the second, third or fourth run. Our day and night guide explains Coen’s abilities, and the open-world guide covers the wider campaign.
Blood of Dawnwalker Home Sweet Home is much easier to finish once you recognise the difference between the intended loop and a genuine bug. The escape route runs through the well, church and river; the four-loop route leads to the alternative ending.
