Modern Warfare 4 DMZ Beta Rewards recognise players who took part in the original Modern Warfare II DMZ beta. Activision has confirmed six returning-player cosmetics across three reward sets, available starting 20 October 2026 during the new DMZ Early Access period.
Whether you qualify depends on what you did in the older DMZ beta and whether you’re using the same Activision Account. Simply playing the new mode today won’t substitute for 50 hours spent in the old beta or for previously unlocking its Serpentine camo. Here’s every reward and the exact requirement attached to it.
All Modern Warfare 4 DMZ Beta Rewards
Activision’s official 19 October progression guide lists three groups, each containing one emblem and one calling card. The sets are based on your earlier Modern Warfare II DMZ beta history.
| Original MWII DMZ beta achievement | Emblem | Calling card |
|---|---|---|
| Played the DMZ beta | Beta On Record | Beta Squad |
| Played at least 50 hours | DMZ Beta 50 Hours | DMZ Beta 50 Hours |
| Unlocked Serpentine Weapon Camo | Beta Serpent (animated) | DMZ Slither (animated) |
Those are the full six Modern Warfare 4 DMZ Beta Rewards. The last pair are animated cosmetics, while Activision describes the participation and 50-hour items simply as emblems and calling cards.

Modern Warfare 4 DMZ Beta Rewards for participation
If you played Modern Warfare II’s original DMZ beta, the basic set is the easiest one to qualify for. Activision requires participation, not a particular number of hours or a specific extraction record.
Use the same Activision Account that you used during the earlier beta when accessing Modern Warfare 4 DMZ. The two participation items are the Beta On Record emblem and Beta Squad calling card.
The official guide says the rewards become accessible starting 20 October during DMZ Early Access. It does not describe a redemption code or an additional purchase requirement for these legacy cosmetics.
How to get the DMZ Beta 50 Hours rewards
The second Modern Warfare 4 DMZ Beta Rewards set recognises players who logged at least 50 hours in Modern Warfare II’s DMZ beta. Meeting that threshold earns an emblem and calling card, both named DMZ Beta 50 Hours.
This is historical progress. The official wording refers specifically to time played in the original MWII DMZ beta, not 50 new hours in Modern Warfare 4 DMZ. If you only played a handful of games back then, you should expect the participation items but not automatically the 50-hour pair.
Make sure you’re signed into the Activision Account that recorded your earlier hours. Changing your display name is less relevant than making sure it’s actually the same linked game account.
How to unlock the Beta Serpent and DMZ Slither cosmetics
The top reward pair requires having unlocked the Serpentine Weapon Camo during the original Modern Warfare II DMZ beta. Qualifying players receive an animated Beta Serpent emblem and an animated DMZ Slither calling card.
The distinction is worth keeping clear: Activision is awarding a commemorative emblem and calling card for that earlier achievement. Its October announcement does not say the original Serpentine weapon camo itself transfers into the new game’s weapon inventory.
Unlocking Serpentine for the first time in an unrelated mode now is not described as an alternative. The qualifying achievement is the camo unlock recorded during MWII’s older DMZ beta.

When will the legacy rewards appear?
Activision says Modern Warfare 4 DMZ Beta Rewards are accessible from 20 October 2026, alongside the new DMZ Early Access. You don’t have to wait for Warzone Season 1, which is a separate milestone later in the year.
The official progression article confirms the entitlement conditions but doesn’t spell out an additional manual claiming screen. Once you’re in the correct Activision Account and the game is available, look through the relevant emblem and calling-card customisation options for the items you’ve earned.
If the reward is missing, first check which account you’ve signed into and whether you met the original qualifying condition. Don’t assume everyone who played DMZ will get the 50-hour and Serpentine sets.
What if you never played the original DMZ beta?
These Modern Warfare 4 DMZ Beta Rewards are described as a thank-you for earlier MWII DMZ beta participation. The developer has not provided a new challenge route for someone who didn’t participate in that beta, nor does it list a way to buy the legacy rewards separately.
That doesn’t stop you from playing the new DMZ mode or earning its current cosmetics. The new game has separate progression and Mastery Camo tracks, including Chiral, Ripple Tide and Helio, which are unlocked by completing DMZ-specific tasks rather than historical participation.
Our Modern Warfare 4 DMZ Mastery Camos guide covers those challenges. You can also read our DMZ Early Access guide, Active Duty Operators guide and DMZ exfil guide before your first deployment.
All six Modern Warfare 4 DMZ Beta Rewards and eligibility requirements are confirmed in Activision’s official October 19 progression announcement.
