The WARDOGS Molotov Cocktail gives Assault a new way to deal with players who are dug into a doorway, narrow route or patch of cover. It arrives with Season 2 and joins the role track at level 13.
Instead of relying on one burst of explosive damage, the bottle leaves fire burning where it lands. That makes it useful for forcing movement, cutting off a route and clearing destructible foliage, with rain now affecting how well the flames hold up.
How to unlock the WARDOGS Molotov Cocktail

Reach Assault level 13 and pay the $25,000 unlock cost once. After that, each Molotov costs $340 from the Utility vendor. It weighs 0.99 kg, takes a 1×2 inventory space and stacks to two.
C4 also moved into the Assault track for Season 2, so the role now has two different ways to pressure defended positions. C4 is a placed explosive; the Molotov is for leaving a patch of fire where you want people to move.

How the WARDOGS Molotov Cocktail works
The WARDOGS Molotov Cocktail breaks on impact. The initial hit deals damage, then the flames keep hurting anyone who stays inside the burning area.
The game supports both overarm and underarm throws. That gives you a little more control over where the bottle lands, whether you are trying to send it over cover or drop the fire closer to your own position.
How rain affects the Molotov
Rain weakens the WARDOGS Molotov Cocktail. BULKHEAD specifically lists reduced Molotov fire as part of the Season 2 weather changes, so the burning patch is less effective in a wet match than it is in clear conditions.
The throwable still works in the rain; you just get less from the burning patch it leaves behind. That makes the weather worth checking before you rely on one Molotov to hold the same route for long.
Can the Molotov burn foliage?
Yes. The WARDOGS Molotov Cocktail burns destructible foliage as well as damaging players, which can clear vegetation around a position and take away some of the cover it was providing.
That only applies to foliage the game treats as destructible. The Molotov will not remove every bush, tree or piece of scenery simply because it catches fire nearby.
Where to use the Molotov
The best throws are the ones that make a useful position uncomfortable to hold. Doorways, narrow approaches and the edge of a Control Zone are good examples because anyone staying inside the flames keeps taking damage.
It is also useful against players tucked behind light cover or destructible foliage. The bottle itself does not have to finish the fight; forcing somebody to move can be enough to open the angle you were waiting for.
Is the WARDOGS Molotov Cocktail worth unlocking?
Yes, if you play Assault regularly. The $25,000 unlock is small compared with the later weapon unlocks on the role track, and $340 is cheap enough to add one without turning the rest of your loadout into an expensive gamble.
The WARDOGS Molotov Cocktail earns its place because it does something a frag grenade does not: the danger stays on the ground after impact. Use it when blocking a route or pushing someone out of cover is more useful than chasing one burst of explosive damage.
