Enshrouded Eternal Spell upgrades are part of the version 1.0 combat and crafting overhaul. Eternal versions of every spell now exist for late-game players, and you can improve Eternal Spells and Eternal Arrows through the relevant crafting survivors instead of keeping the same item at its original strength.
Mages and rangers can continue improving their favourite attacks as they progress into the new Cinder’s Cradle content. The update raises player levels to fifty and upgraded equipment to fifty-five, adds nine types of spells, and revisits which spell charges are found in the world and which require crafting.
How to upgrade Eternal Spells in version 1.0

Keen Games confirms that the crafting survivors associated with the different combat classes now provide upgrade services for Eternal Spells and Eternal Arrows. Bring the Eternal item you want to improve to the appropriate survivor and inspect their available upgrade service.
For Enshrouded Eternal Spell upgrades, bring the spell to the appropriate crafting survivor, choose its next upgrade tier and collect the ingredients shown for that item. Eternal Arrows can be upgraded through the corresponding survivor service as well.
Which spells now have Eternal versions?
Every spell type now has an Eternal variation, but many are late-game unlocks. Keen Games also added 22 tier-seven spell versions, extending the strength available through advanced progression. This is different from the old situation where some spells had to be carried in finite stacks of charges.
Eternal versions let you keep casting without using finite spell charges, although each cast still costs mana. They still have to be obtained through the appropriate game progression; Enshrouded Eternal Spell upgrades don’t instantly grant every Eternal item to a new character.
Can you upgrade Eternal Arrows too?
Yes. The same improvement system now supports Eternal Arrows through class-related crafting survivors. The 1.0 update also adds Eternal Fire, Shock and Bone Arrows at several tiers, giving rangers more options for repeated elemental attacks.
Our Eternal Arrows guide covers the broader arrow types. Enshrouded Eternal Spell upgrades and arrow upgrades share the same new concept, but their ingredients and appropriate survivor interactions can differ.
Does the upgrade work like weapon upgrading?

Eternal Spells and Arrows can now grow alongside your equipment. Their upgrade services work similarly to weapon improvements and can offer perks such as reduced mana cost. Visit the relevant crafting survivor after reaching a higher level to check which improvements are available for your favourite spell or arrow type.
The maximum player level is fifty and fully upgraded equipment can reach level fifty-five. Not every Eternal item automatically starts at that strength, though. For Enshrouded Eternal Spell upgrades, use the actual menu to see how far a particular item can currently be raised.
How to unlock more spell tiers
Version 1.0 adds nine spell types: Mana Drain, Entangle, Pillar of Flames, Blizzard, Ball Lightning, Summon Fire Totem, Summon Ice Totem, Summon Shock Totem and Summon Hollow Skeleton. Existing magic also receives additional tiers, including 22 tier-seven spell versions. Continue the relevant story and crafting unlocks to get access to advanced forms of the spells you use.
Some advanced spell charges require crafting, while other charges can appear as world loot. Visit the Alchemist after finding new ingredients and upgrading the necessary stations. That change helps players avoid carrying huge piles of charges. Enshrouded Eternal Spell upgrades should therefore be considered alongside the spell’s unlock route and its Eternal version.
What about skeleton summons and Necromancy?
Players can actively summon skeletons in version 1.0, with Necromancy-oriented weapon gems and skills providing extra support. These are new spell and skill options, not merely visual variants of an existing basic projectile.
Enshrouded Eternal Spell upgrades improve items you already have, whereas new summon types must be unlocked through their own progression. Don’t assume an upgrade to an Eternal projectile spell also teaches a skeleton summon or changes your skill-tree allocations.
Why isn’t the upgrade option visible?
Check whether you’re running the 1.0 build, whether you’re speaking to the correct crafting survivor for the combat class and whether the Eternal item is actually available at your progression tier. A standard stack of finite spell charges isn’t automatically the same thing as an Eternal Spell.
The upgrade service doesn’t replace the relevant crafting unlocks. If Enshrouded Eternal Spell upgrades are missing from a menu, confirm the survivor’s services and your available materials before assuming the game has failed to load your character’s progress.
Enshrouded Eternal Spell upgrades: quick checklist
Install version 1.0, obtain an Eternal spell through the relevant progression, visit the class-associated crafting survivor and inspect the upgrade requirements. Do the same for Eternal Arrows when building a ranger. With nine new spell types and more tiers, your upgrade options are considerably broader than they were in Early Access.

|---|---|
| Eternal Spells | Every spell has a late-game Eternal variant |
