ARC Raiders Raider Hatch Key: How to Craft, Buy and Extract Safely

ARC Raiders Frigate official ARC Raiders Frozen Trail artwork from Embark Studios.

ARC Raiders Raider Hatch Key opens a special extraction route, not a loot room. If a normal elevator is crowded and your bag contains something valuable, a Raider Hatch can give you another way back to Speranza. But you still need to reach the entrance and the current map condition must allow it.

You can buy one from Shani, craft one at a Utility Station or find one while scavenging. Here’s exactly what it costs, how to use it and when the hatch option disappears.

How to get the key

Shani sells the ARC Raiders Raider Hatch Key for 9,000 Coins, with a limit of two per day. Her old 100-Cred price expired when Frozen Trail removed Cred on October 8, 2026. You can also find it while scavenging or receive it from quests including Cold Storage, Hatch Repairs, Mixed Signals, Our Presence up There, Paving the Way and The Trifecta. A key from a quest is exactly the same as one bought from Shani. It isn’t reserved for a special one-time hatch, so keeping a couple in your stash can be useful if you regularly have valuable items to extract.

Crafting recipe and station

Craft an ARC Raiders Raider Hatch Key at Utility Station level 2 from one Advanced Electrical Components and three Sensors. With the Traveling Tinkerer skill, you can craft it from your inventory in a raid. If you’re making the Advanced Electrical Components from basic materials, the expanded chain uses sixteen Plastic Parts, eight Rubber Parts and three Wires, along with the three Sensors. That’s the full upstream material list, not another recipe: the final hatch key still uses the advanced component and sensors.

Find a hatch on your map

Hatch extraction icons appear on maps when that type of exit is enabled. Mark a hatch before you leave the area you’re looting and check the route against the remaining timer. Carrying an ARC Raiders Raider Hatch Key doesn’t reveal a secret exit or let you make a hatch anywhere. You’ll still need to reach the marked entrance on foot, sometimes through contested roads or ARC patrols. If your map has no active hatch icons, choose a normal extraction immediately rather than crossing the raid searching for a door you cannot use.

How to open and extract

Reach the active Raider Hatch and interact with the locked entrance while carrying the key. The key is consumed when the hatch opens. Descend into the access area and finish the extraction interaction to return to Speranza with the items you’re carrying. An ARC Raiders Raider Hatch Key isn’t a teleporter: your squad still has to make it to the entrance. The benefit is an alternative extraction route when an elevator would force you across a heavily contested part of the map. Check the hatch is accessible before spending your remaining time scavenging.

Map conditions that disable hatches

The Locked Gate condition on Blue Gate disables Raider Hatches entirely, and the Frigate condition also removes the hatch extraction option. An ARC Raiders Raider Hatch Key won’t change those rules. During those raids use the remaining elevators, trains or other active extraction methods shown on the map. Other special conditions can affect exits, so always check the condition banner before bringing equipment with the assumption that a particular escape will be there. A missing hatch isn’t proof that the key has disappeared from your inventory.

Buying versus crafting

Shani’s 9,000-Coin purchase is convenient if her daily stock is available, but it’s worth comparing that cost with the components you already own. Crafting spends Advanced Electrical Components and Sensors you might otherwise need for upgrades, so it makes more sense when you already have a surplus. An ARC Raiders Raider Hatch Key has a 2,000-coin sale value in the current item database, but selling it removes a useful extraction option from a future raid. Save one when you’re planning a risky blueprint or quest-item recovery run, and spend it only when the hatch route actually helps.

Using a hatch with friends

If you’re playing in a squad, agree on a hatch before anyone gets separated. One Raider can take the route towards the hatch while the others finish packing, but the whole group needs to reach the usable entrance in time. The ARC Raiders Raider Hatch Key is a one-use access item, not a remote action that moves the entire squad from anywhere on the map. Check the status of each teammate and leave enough time to descend and complete the escape interaction, especially if one of you is carrying a physical quest delivery.

ARC Raiders Raider Hatch Key: What it cannot open

An ARC Raiders Raider Hatch Key cannot unlock the Emperor Gateway on Pendola Pass, the Locked Gate security room, a Frigate cargo lock or the numbered Panorama Azzurro hotel doors. Those use a different key, condition or puzzle. The hatch key is specifically for escaping through enabled Raider Hatches. If you find a rare access card with a map name printed on it, save it for that map’s locked room rather than trying it on a hatch. Ordinary loot-room keys also disappear after you use them, but they’re not interchangeable with this extraction item.
