The Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Year Two Deluxe Edition is the new $59.99 US bundle that combines the base game and Season Pass Two. That second DLC pass contains six Year Two collaborations, starting with Godzilla on November 3 and continuing through 2027 with Evangelion, Sanrio, SEGALAND, Final Fantasy VII and Persona.

The name sounds like a complete edition of every expansion, but that’s not what SEGA announced. The original Season Pass One remains separate, and you’ll need both passes for the Super Shadow ownership bonus. Here’s what the new edition actually includes before you buy it.

Everything in Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Year Two Deluxe Edition

  • The Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds base game.
  • Season Pass Two, covering six new collaborations through the end of 2027.
  • Godzilla Escape, Godzilla Cruiser, King Ghidorah Coupe and Mothra Surf from November 3.
  • The future Evangelion, Sanrio, SEGALAND, Midgar and Reload Revival Royal packs.
  • Three machines from the SEGA Consoles Pack and the controller decal bonus attached to Season Pass Two.

The Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Year Two Deluxe Edition gives you Season Pass Two’s content on its applicable release dates. It doesn’t make every planned 2027 pack available on the October 2026 purchase date, and some future racer identities remain unannounced.

Year Two Deluxe Edition price compared with separate purchases

Purchase SEGA-announced US price Includes
Standard game $39.99 Base game only
Standalone Season Pass Two $29.99 Year Two DLC bundle
Year Two Digital Deluxe Edition $59.99 Base game and second pass
Standard game plus pass separately $69.98 Base game and second pass, at current list prices

At the announced list prices, the Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Year Two Deluxe Edition saves $9.99 compared with buying the standard game and pass separately. That’s a US-price comparison, not a guaranteed regional discount: storefront sales, account ownership and local currency can change what you pay.

Does Year Two Deluxe Edition include Season Pass One?

No. SEGA presents the new edition as the base game plus Season Pass Two. The original Year One pass is distinct. Players interested in Minecraft, SpongeBob, PAC-MAN, Mega Man, Avatar Legends or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles need to check the first pass separately.

This matters for Super Shadow, which SEGA reserves for ownership of both season passes. Buying the Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Year Two Deluxe Edition alone does not satisfy the first pass condition, so new players chasing Super Shadow must account for that second purchase.

Should existing CrossWorlds owners buy Year Two Deluxe?

Usually the standalone second pass makes more sense. If you already own the base game, the Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Year Two Deluxe Edition would bundle a product already in your library. Check whether the storefront offers a bundle discount or upgrade policy, but don’t assume there is a free conversion from the older Deluxe edition.

Original Digital Deluxe owners should verify their Season Pass One entitlement. If the original pass is included in their purchase, adding Season Pass Two gets them closer to the two-pass bonus without buying another full game.

What free Year Two content comes with the base game?

The free November 3 update gives all eligible base-game owners Duel Mode, offline Rival Duel, a Grand Master Gadget Plate with a new boosted slot and fifteen gadgets. It also introduces Bayonetta as a free character unlock with her Butterfly Witch machine. You don’t need Season Pass Two for these additions.

Later free Year Two character content includes Sonic’s McLaren Racing look and Aigis from Persona 3. Exact delivery schedules beyond the currently announced windows shouldn’t be treated as fixed launch hours. The Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Year Two Deluxe Edition is about paid licensed DLC rather than locking these core changes behind a higher edition.

Is Year Two Deluxe Edition the best choice for new players?

If you’re purchasing the game for the first time and want the new crossover lineup, the $59.99 US bundle is cheaper at listed prices than buying the base game and new pass separately. If you’re only interested in the free racing update and Bayonetta, the $39.99 base game may be enough.

If you want every crossover and Super Shadow, you’ll also need to price Season Pass One. The Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Year Two Deluxe Edition is a game-and-second-pass bundle, not an all-DLC Ultimate Edition.

Year Two Deluxe Edition buying checklist

  • Check whether you already own the base game.
  • Compare the new bundle price against the standalone second pass on your own storefront.
  • Confirm whether your existing original Deluxe edition includes Season Pass One.
  • Remember the six collaboration packs unlock across November 2026 to late 2027.
  • Don’t purchase the new edition solely for Duel Mode, Bayonetta or the Gadget Plate; those are free update features.

The Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Year Two Deluxe Edition makes most sense as a new-player bundle. Existing owners should buy only what they’re missing and keep the two season passes separate in their expectations.
