Disney Dreamlight Valley Release the Curse is one of the new Haunted Mansion challenges in the 2026 Haunted Floating Festival. Its combination panel sits inside the locked bedroom, but finding the right symbols takes you back through the other rooms. Once you know where to look, you can put the four pictures in order, recover the Lost Magic Page and restore the magical book.
The puzzle is available now, following the festival’s 7 October opening. It’s easy to confuse it with the returning Combination Pillar puzzle outside the mansion, especially because both use the same four pictures. Their answers are different, though, and only the bedroom puzzle leads to the Decorative Magic Seal furniture reward. Here’s the route from the locked door to the finished curse.
Disney Dreamlight Valley Release the Curse: correct combination
The correct Disney Dreamlight Valley Release the Curse combination is Spiderweb, Cat, Bat, Witch Hat. Arrange the four rotating tiles in the bedroom from left to right to match the Roman numerals I, II, III and IV. The answer is also revealed by the Memory Orb you obtain after finishing the Haunted Library puzzle.
| Position | Symbol | Where to find the clue |
|---|---|---|
| I | Spiderweb | Bedroom wall to the right of the door |
| II | Cat | Back of a crate by the tall storage-room shelves |
| III | Bat | Entrance-room wall above the crafting station |
| IV | Witch Hat | Floor beneath a lion statue in the hallway |
Setting all four tiles correctly makes the Lost Magic Page appear nearby. Pick it up and return it to the magical book on the bedroom bookstand. You’ll then receive a reward pouch containing the Decorative Magic Seal. Merely setting the tiles isn’t enough to finish Disney Dreamlight Valley Release the Curse.
How to unlock Disney Dreamlight Valley Release the Curse

First, visit the Haunted Floating Festival island by using the portal in your Plaza or the Teleport option in the Event tab. Enter the Haunted Mansion and walk down the hallway to the bedroom. The door starts locked, so you’ll need to collect the two Haunted Key Fragments before you can get to the combination panel.
One key fragment comes from following the ghostly fox through the mansion. For the other, open two red chests to obtain four Jack-o’-Candles and light the unlit Jack-o’-Lanterns. Take both fragments to the crafting station inside the mansion, craft the Repaired Haunted Key and open the bedroom door. Our Haunted Key guide explains every part of that route.
Next, complete the Haunted Library puzzle. Move the four misplaced books to their correct shelves around the mansion, then finish the picture puzzle from the Memory Orb. The completed image points you toward the places where the symbols are hidden. You can follow the Haunted Library missing books guide if you haven’t reached the memory yet.
Disney Dreamlight Valley Release the Curse symbol locations
Spiderweb: bedroom doorway
For the first Disney Dreamlight Valley Release the Curse symbol, stay inside the bedroom and face the door you entered through. The Spiderweb marking is on the wall to the right of the doorway. Although the memory image suggests a map hanging on the wall, the actual marking is closer to the entrance, so check beside the door rather than searching the far end of the room.
Cat: crate behind the storage-room shelves
Leave the bedroom, follow the hallway back to the main entrance and turn into the storage room on your left. Look for the tall black shelving near the centre and walk around to the back. The Cat symbol is on the reverse side of a wooden crate. It’s particularly easy to walk past if you’re looking only at the shelves facing the doorway.
Bat: wall above the crafting station
Return to the main room of the Haunted Mansion. Look up at the wall above the crafting station to find the Bat symbol. The memory clue shows a nearby framed picture of Lady and the Tramp, but you don’t need to interact with that picture. The bat marking is in plain view once you face the station and look upward.
Witch Hat: beneath a hallway lion
Head back toward the bedroom and check the middle of the hallway. The Witch Hat marking is on the floor underneath one of the stone lion statues. Some lions can be broken with your Royal Pickaxe, so you may have cleared the statue during the earlier Haunted Key challenge. Look at the floor around its original position if you don’t immediately spot the symbol.
All four clues for Disney Dreamlight Valley Release the Curse are fixed markings around the house, not objects you need to add to your inventory. You can go straight back to the bedroom panel once you’ve identified them. Cycle each tile until it shows Spiderweb, Cat, Bat and Witch Hat, in that order.
How to find the Lost Magic Page in Disney Dreamlight Valley Release the Curse
After entering the right combination, a Lost Magic Page drops onto the floor near the bedroom puzzle. Walk over and collect it before doing anything else. Then approach the nearby bookstand holding the magical book and interact with it to replace the missing page. This is the step that completes Disney Dreamlight Valley Release the Curse and lifts the curse.
A festival reward pouch appears after you restore the page. Collect it and open it from your inventory to receive the Decorative Magic Seal. If the symbols appear correct but you haven’t received the reward, check for the Lost Magic Page on the floor and make sure you’ve returned it to the bookstand. The page is a separate quest item and won’t insert itself automatically.
Why the outdoor pillar combination is different
The older Combination Pillar puzzle sits outside, behind the Haunted Mansion. Its correct sequence is Spiderweb, Bat, Witch Hat, Cat, and its reward is the Haunted Festival Dress. Players following old festival walkthroughs can easily end up using that order in the wrong place.
Inside the bedroom, Disney Dreamlight Valley Release the Curse uses Spiderweb, Cat, Bat, Witch Hat instead. The two puzzles share the same style of rotating symbols but are separate activities. If the code you entered isn’t working, check which set of pillars you’re standing in front of before changing your answer.
Disney Dreamlight Valley Release the Curse dates and rewards
The Disney Dreamlight Valley Release the Curse challenge opened on 7 October 2026, alongside the first new Haunted Mansion puzzles. Gameloft says the Haunted Floating Festival continues until 31 October 2026. The final Ghost Hunt begins on 18 October, but it isn’t a requirement for this combination or the Decorative Magic Seal.
The bedroom also has a separate secret. A lion statue near the bookstand holds the Eerie Basement Door Key, which opens the basement entrance outside the mansion. That route awards another furniture item, the Eerie Basement Door, and can be explored after you’ve finished the curse.

Once you’ve completed Disney Dreamlight Valley Release the Curse, check that the Lost Magic Page has been returned and the reward pouch has been opened. You can then move on to the mansion’s basement mystery or other festival challenges without worrying about the bedroom combination. The four symbols may be tucked away, but you only need to solve them once.
