Hobbling Crow has opened as one of Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.2’s limited activities, and the event is structured around a sequence of separate commission incidents rather than one mission that can be cleared in a single sitting. The investigation follows Crowe and Hobble as they look into Carrot smuggling, with later incidents locked behind both progress and time. That structure makes it worth knowing the full sequence before assuming the event has stopped after the first commission.

The Hobbling Crow event is also easy to lose among the larger Version 3.2 schedule because it overlaps with several other activities and banner changes. Its rewards include Polychromes, Boopons and upgrade materials, so there is a good reason to keep the event moving while each new incident becomes available. Players who meet the basic account requirement can treat it as a compact side investigation rather than a high-investment combat grind.

Hobbling Crow runs from October 3 at 10:00 server time until October 19 at 03:59 during Version 3.2. Players need Inter-Knot Level 20 and must have completed Main Story Chapter 1 Intermission before the event can be accessed. Once those conditions are met, the event begins the Crowe and Hobble investigation and starts opening the five commission incidents in order.

The confirmed reward pool includes Polychromes, Boopons and character or account upgrade materials. That makes the event worthwhile even for players who are not especially interested in the story premise. The most important thing is to keep checking the event page after completing an incident, because later parts do not all unlock immediately.

All five Hobbling Crow commissions

There are five named incidents in Hobbling Crow: Secret Contact, Logistics Spy, Port of Entry Investigation, Boo-Controlled Arrest, and Pins and Truth. They form a fixed sequence, so a later incident requires the earlier one to be completed before it can become available. HoYoverse also uses specified unlock times between parts, which is why the next mission may remain unavailable even when the previous one is already finished.

If the event menu shows no new objective after a clear, check the next unlock time before assuming the quest is broken. Hobbling Crow is designed to unfold across the event window, and the combination of story progress plus timed releases is deliberate. Repeatedly restarting the client will not bypass a future incident that has not reached its release point.

Secret Contact and Logistics Spy

Secret Contact starts the investigation and establishes the event’s main thread around suspicious Carrot movement. Complete every listed objective and make sure the incident is fully recorded as finished before expecting the next part. If a task marker appears inactive, return to the event interface and confirm that no dialogue or completion prompt is still waiting.

Logistics Spy continues that sequence and only matters after Secret Contact is properly cleared. Because the Hobbling Crow event gates later incidents behind earlier completion, leaving one conversation or final event interaction unfinished can make the next commission look unavailable. Follow the event objective list rather than relying only on the world map marker.

Port of Entry Investigation and Boo-Controlled Arrest

Port of Entry Investigation is the third named incident and moves the investigation further into the smuggling route. By this point, players should already recognise the pattern: finish the current incident completely, claim any available event progress, then check the release condition for the next one. The event does not require you to guess a hidden sixth mission or search unrelated city areas for progress.

Boo-Controlled Arrest is the fourth incident and leads into the final part of the Hobbling Crow chain. If it appears locked, verify both the previous commission and the server-time condition. That distinction matters because an account can satisfy the story requirement but still be waiting for the scheduled unlock.

Pins and Truth and finishing Hobbling Crow

Pins and Truth is the fifth and final named incident in the event sequence. Reaching it means the earlier four commissions have been cleared and the relevant time gate has passed. Finish its objectives and then return to the Hobbling Crow event page to collect any remaining milestone rewards rather than assuming they are all granted automatically during the mission.

Before leaving the event for good, check the full reward list for unclaimed Polychromes, Boopons or upgrade materials. Limited events are much easier to forget when the story portion is already complete, especially if several Version 3.2 activities are active at once. A final reward-screen check takes very little time and prevents completed objectives from turning into missed currency.

What to do if a Hobbling Crow commission is locked

Start with the three intended requirements: Inter-Knot Level 20, Chapter 1 Intermission completion and the previous event incident. If all three are satisfied, compare the current server time with the next incident’s release timing. Most apparent lockouts in this event come from progression or scheduling rather than a complicated hidden requirement.

If the requirement is met and the unlock time has passed, return to the event menu, complete any pending dialogue and reload the relevant area before trying more disruptive troubleshooting. Hobbling Crow is a small event chain, so reinstalling the game or changing account settings is not a sensible first response to a missing commission. Confirm the event conditions first, then use official support channels if the account still does not receive the expected objective.
