AION 2 Elyos or Asmodian: Which Faction Should You Choose?

AION 2 Elyos or Asmodian

AION 2 Elyos or Asmodian comes down to faction identity, starting world and where your friends are playing rather than one side having stronger classes or better base stats. Both factions have access to the same eight global launch classes, so you are not locking yourself out of Ranger, Templar, Cleric or any other class by choosing a side.

The most important part of AION 2 Elyos or Asmodian is social: Elyos and Asmodians use separate faction home servers and meet as opponents in cross-faction content. If you plan to join friends or a legion, coordinate the faction and server before creating your main character.

There is no sensible AION 2 Elyos or Asmodian answer based on a secret damage bonus. The meaningful differences are the side of the world you inhabit, faction story and presentation, server pairing and which population becomes your enemy in faction content.

Choose the faction your friends choose

If you already have a group, this is the easiest AION 2 Elyos or Asmodian decision. Pick the same faction and compatible server group as the people you want to play with.

Choosing the opposite faction is not a cosmetic difference you can ignore later. The two sides are organised separately and are designed to meet as rivals.

Are Elyos stronger than Asmodians?

No official global information makes Elyos the stronger answer to AION 2 Elyos or Asmodian. The same applies in reverse for Asmodians.

Both sides use the same class roster and core combat systems. Population, guild organisation and individual players can make one server feel stronger without the faction itself having better character stats.

Do the factions have different classes?

No. Class access should not decide AION 2 Elyos or Asmodian because the global launch roster is shared.

Gladiator, Templar, Assassin, Ranger, Sorcerer, Spiritmaster, Cleric and Chanter are the eight global classes. The faction choice happens around your character’s allegiance and world rather than a separate class tree.

Elyos: who should pick them?

Elyos is the natural AION 2 Elyos or Asmodian choice if you prefer the brighter Elyos identity and want to begin on that side of Atreia.

It is also the correct choice if your friends, guild or planned community is organising on an Elyos server. Social convenience is more important than trying to predict which side will dominate launch-week PvP.

Asmodian: who should pick them?

Asmodian is the better AION 2 Elyos or Asmodian choice if you prefer the darker faction identity or your group is building on the Asmodian side.

Again, this is not a difficulty setting. Pick Asmodian because you want that faction’s world, story flavour and community, not because an old AION guide tells you one race has a permanent combat edge.

How AION 2 server pairing affects faction choice

Server structure makes AION 2 Elyos or Asmodian more important than a purely visual race choice. AION 2 pairs Elyos and Asmodian home servers so their populations can meet in cross-faction activities.

That is why the server list is worth checking before character creation. NC has already added capacity during the launch window, and static server lists can change quickly.

Can Elyos and Asmodians play together?

Do not choose opposite sides in AION 2 Elyos or Asmodian expecting normal same-faction grouping later. Elyos and Asmodians are the opposing sides of AION 2’s faction structure.

Cross-faction systems bring the populations into the same wider conflict, but that is different from choosing the same home faction for ordinary progression with friends.

Can you change faction later?

Treat AION 2 Elyos or Asmodian as an important early decision rather than something to flip casually. Server and faction identity affect where the character belongs.

If NC introduces new transfer or faction-change options later, follow the current official service rules at that point. For launch, the safest decision is to coordinate first and create the main character second.

Best answer to AION 2 Elyos or Asmodian

The best answer to AION 2 Elyos or Asmodian is whichever side your friends are using, followed by whichever faction presentation you personally prefer. There is no confirmed class or base-stat advantage that should override those two factors.

If you are playing completely solo, look at the faction identity, pick the side you actually like, then choose a healthy server in your region.
