Genshin Impact Toy Medal: How to Get and Use Toy Medals

Genshin Impact Toy Medal

Genshin Impact Toy Medal is a special Imaginarium Theater currency used to unlock Thespian Tricks, the extra character poses sold by Wolfy. A normal monthly Theater reward track provides three Toy Medals, earned from the Performance Tour milestones connected to Acts 3, 6 and 8.

The important detail with Genshin Impact Toy Medal is that it is not a combat buff, upgrade material or banner currency. Its purpose is cosmetic. Once you have completed enough Theater acts and finalized the relevant performance rewards, take the medals to Wolfy in the Mysterious Library and exchange one medal for one available Thespian Trick.

Genshin Impact Toy Medal rewards come from Imaginarium Theater. The recurring Performance Tour gives one medal at Act 3, another at Act 6 and a third at Act 8, for three medals in a complete monthly reward track. You do not need to clear Lunar Mode just to earn the three standard Toy Medals.

After reaching the required act, finalize the performance and open the Theater reward interface. If the medal has not appeared in your inventory, check whether the Performance Tour reward was actually claimed. Finishing an act and leaving the reward sitting unclaimed can make it look as though the currency never dropped.

Where to spend a Genshin Impact Toy Medal

Speak to Wolfy inside the Imaginarium Theater area in the Mysterious Library. The Thespian Trove option shows the character poses currently available for exchange. Each standard Thespian Trick costs one Genshin Impact Toy Medal, so the three monthly medals normally let you unlock three poses.

The available Thespian Tricks are tied to specific characters. Buying a pose does not unlock that character and does not change combat animations. It adds an extra pose for the corresponding character’s photo options, making the currency a collection reward rather than a progression requirement.

What are Thespian Tricks?

Thespian Tricks are special Photo Mode poses. Once a pose has been purchased from Wolfy, open the photo interface with the matching character and select the unlocked pose alongside the character’s normal photo options.

The Thespian Trove selection changes as Imaginarium Theater receives new seasonal pose additions. If you do not care about the current characters, there is no combat reason to spend a Genshin Impact Toy Medal immediately. Check the available pose list first and prioritise characters you actually use for screenshots.

How many Toy Medals can you get each month?

The repeatable Theater track gives three Genshin Impact Toy Medal rewards per season. They are attached to Act 3, Act 6 and Act 8 reward milestones, which means players who cannot reach the highest difficulties can still collect some or all of the cosmetic currency by progressing through the standard acts.

Lunar Mode adds extra combat rewards and Arcana challenges, but it does not increase the normal monthly Toy Medal total beyond those three act milestones. If your only target is character poses, focus on reaching and claiming the Act 8 reward rather than forcing a difficult Lunar clear for a medal that is not there.

Toy Medal, Stella and Lunar rewards are different

Toy Medals are easy to confuse with other Theater reward systems. Stella come from Star Challenges and contribute to their own artifact-related reward milestones, while Lunar Mode adds Arcana rewards and Lunar Arcana collectibles. None of those replace the Genshin Impact Toy Medal shop currency.

That distinction matters when planning a quick monthly clear. You can miss Stella targets and still claim the act-based Toy Medals. Likewise, clearing Arcana content does not automatically buy a Thespian Trick. The medal must still be taken to Wolfy and exchanged for the pose you want.

What to do if Wolfy will not sell a pose

If Wolfy’s Thespian Trove is unavailable, make sure you have progressed far enough through Imaginarium Theater to unlock the relevant Theater features. If the shop opens but a specific pose is unavailable, check that the pose is part of the current or retained selection and that you are looking at the correct character.

Also verify that the Genshin Impact Toy Medal is actually in your currency total. A reward shown on the Performance Tour screen is not the same as a claimed reward. Return to the Theater reward menu, collect any completed milestone, then speak to Wolfy again.

Best way to spend Toy Medals

There is no statistical best purchase because every Thespian Trick is cosmetic. The sensible priority is your favourite character, a pose you know you will use, or a limited current selection you do not want to overlook. Do not spend simply because the medal is available if none of the current poses interest you.

The useful monthly routine is simple: clear through Act 8, claim all three Performance Tour medals, inspect Wolfy’s Thespian Trove and choose up to three poses. That keeps the Genshin Impact Toy Medal system separate from the harder Lunar objectives while still collecting the Theater cosmetics consistently.

Genshin Impact Toy Medal is one of the simpler Imaginarium Theater currencies once the reward tracks are separated. Claim the Act 3, Act 6 and Act 8 Performance Tour milestones for three medals each season, then spend them with Wolfy on the Thespian Tricks you actually want for your characters.
