Star Wars Zero Company Rally: How to Revive Downed Operators

Star Wars Zero Company Rally

Star Wars Zero Company Rally is the combat action used to get a Downed Operator back on their feet. When an Operator reaches zero Health, they become Downed and suffer an Injury instead of immediately disappearing from the fight, giving another squad member a chance to reach them and use Rally.

The important limitation with Star Wars Zero Company Rally is that reviving the Operator does not normally erase the Injury. Rally solves the immediate tactical problem, while the Medbay handles the longer-term campaign penalty after the mission.

How to use Star Wars Zero Company Rally

  • Keep the Downed Operator from being surrounded if possible.
  • Move a healthy squad member into the required Rally position or range.
  • Use the Rally action on the Downed ally.
  • Protect the revived Operator instead of leaving them exposed to another immediate down.
  • Finish the mission, then treat the Injury at the Medbay.

The exact movement cost depends on where the rescuer starts, so preserve enough AP to reach the Downed character and still complete the rescue. A perfect damage turn is not useful if it leaves a teammate on the floor.

What happens after Star Wars Zero Company Rally

The rescued Operator returns to the battle and can continue participating, but the Injury remains on the campaign roster. That Injury can reduce combat effectiveness until treated and contributes to the danger of repeated downs when permadeath is active.

After the mission, return to The Den and assign the character to medical treatment rather than assuming the Rally fully restored them.

Use cover before Star Wars Zero Company Rally

A Downed character often lies in the same dangerous lane that caused the problem. Before sending another Operator to Rally them, identify enemies covering the body and remove, suppress or reposition those threats.

Otherwise the rescuer can be Downed as well, turning one Injury into two and making the next turn far harder to recover.

Trauma Kit and Star Wars Zero Company Rally

The Trauma Kit is designed around Rally. Its basic effect returns the Rallied ally fully healed, and improved tiers can add a chance to prevent the Injury that would normally accompany the down.

That makes a Trauma Kit carrier one of the best emergency-rescue choices in a permadeath campaign. Keep the item on an Operator who can realistically reach teammates rather than a character who is always isolated at maximum range.

Can Star Wars Zero Company Rally stop permadeath?

Rally can stop a Downed Operator from being lost immediately during the current encounter, but it does not make repeated Injuries safe. With permadeath enabled, three Injuries can result in permanent death.

If the revived Operator already has multiple Injuries, use the rest of the mission conservatively. Finishing the objective with them alive is more important than squeezing one extra risky attack out of a damaged character.

When not to use Star Wars Zero Company Rally immediately

Do not rush a rescuer through several enemy firing lanes simply because Rally is available. Sometimes the safer sequence is to eliminate one threat, use control or reposition, then make the rescue once the body is no longer covered.

The goal is to recover one Operator without creating another Downed state. The best Rally turn is often a setup turn rather than the fastest possible click.

Rally versus healing

Rally is for the Downed state. A normal heal or Medpac helps a character who is still active, while a Trauma Kit changes the health result of a Rally. Medbay treatment happens between missions and removes the longer-term Injury.

Keeping those systems separate makes recovery easier to plan: healing prevents a down, Rally reverses the Downed state, and the Medbay repairs the campaign consequence.

Best way to use Star Wars Zero Company Rally

Keep one mobile or support-oriented Operator positioned so they can reach the rest of the squad, avoid spreading all four characters beyond rescue range and carry a Trauma Kit when the campaign stakes justify it.

Star Wars Zero Company Rally is a safety net rather than a reason to ignore positioning. Make the area safe, get the teammate back into the fight, protect them from a second down and then treat the Injury once Zero Company returns to The Den.
