WARDOGS Login Queue: How Long Is the Wait?

WARDOGS login queue and server selection screen

The WARDOGS login queue appears when more players are trying to enter the online service than WARDOGS is allowing through at once. There is no fixed wait time that applies to every queue position. During the Early Access launch, BULKHEAD used controlled batches to admit players while monitoring server stability, so the queue can move quickly, slowly or pause while capacity is adjusted.

How long is the WARDOGS login queue?

A WARDOGS login queue position is not a countdown measured in seconds. Your wait depends on how many players are ahead of you, how quickly the service is admitting new sessions and whether BULKHEAD temporarily slows entry after seeing server instability. A five-digit queue can therefore move very differently from one hour to the next.

Launch demand was enormous, with hundreds of thousands of players online at the same time. BULKHEAD’s Launch Stability Hotfix #1 explicitly said players would return to the queue after updating and then be allowed back in controlled batches while the team confirmed servers were populating successfully.

Should you stay in the WARDOGS login queue?

If the WARDOGS login queue is visibly moving and there is no new update waiting, staying put is usually the least disruptive option. Restarting sends you through login again and can lose your current position. The exception is when an official announcement tells everybody to restart for a client hotfix.

Why does the queue stop moving?

The WARDOGS login queue can pause when the service slows admissions, when a hotfix is being deployed or when server capacity is temporarily held while the team checks stability. A paused number for a short period does not necessarily mean the queue has crashed.

What if the queue never changes?

  1. Check the latest official WARDOGS Steam announcement.
  2. Look for a new Steam download or client hotfix.
  3. If instructed, restart WARDOGS and take the update.
  4. If no update exists, give the queue time before abandoning your place.
  5. If authentication fails after the queue, record the exact error code.

A WARDOGS login queue that ends in 1147405308 is an authentication branch, while a queue followed by a join timeout is a server-entry branch. Keeping those stages separate prevents you from applying the wrong fix just because both happened during a busy launch.

Can changing region skip the queue?

Do not treat region hopping as a guaranteed way around the WARDOGS login queue. WARDOGS has different regional capacity, but selecting a distant region can increase latency and does not bypass account-level login controls. Use another region only as a sensible diagnostic or when the game offers a clearly healthier nearby option.

Will the queue improve?

BULKHEAD has already increased capacity in heavily used regions and is actively patching server-browser and connection systems. Early Access means those systems are still changing quickly. Queue behaviour at launch therefore should not be treated as a permanent measurement of how long WARDOGS will always take to enter.

WARDOGS login queue FAQ

The WARDOGS login queue has no universal wait time. Stay in a moving queue unless the developers ask you to restart, keep the client updated and do not repeatedly reconnect simply because the number pauses. If the queue ends in a specific error, switch from queue troubleshooting to the guide for that exact authentication or server-entry code.

Queue position also does not tell you how many active game servers exist. It represents the login gate, not a direct count of available match slots, which is why the queue can pause even while people already inside WARDOGS continue playing.
