Kall Fimbulbringer in Valheim is the final Deep North Forsaken, reached through the Aesir Passage after gathering three Malicious Blood. Patch 1.0.21 changes one of his most dangerous attacks: the Yagluth Aspect Fire Nova’s ground damage over time is halved.
Iron Gate also reduced screen shake on some attacks and fixed a bug that allowed Kall’s drops to fall through the floor. The boss still has three phases and his wider moveset remains dangerous, so the strategy is to manage distance, avoid lingering in fire and keep your best physical attacks ready.
Kall Fimbulbringer in Valheim: 1.0.21 balance changes
The damage reduction concerns the ground fire left by Yagluth Aspect’s Fire Nova. It is not a 50% reduction to Kall’s health, direct hits or every fire attack. You still need to move out of the burning ground rather than stand in it.
Reduced camera shake should make some attacks easier to read, and the loot fix makes a successful kill more reliable because drops should no longer fall through the floor. Neither change bypasses the Malicious Blood summoning requirement.
Bring food suited to your style, repair weapons and armour before using the Strange Bowl, and use the established phase guide below. Blunt and slash remain good choices against Kall’s resistances. Our Nord Greatsword guide covers the separate multi-target weapon fix in this patch.
How to find Kall Fimbulbringer
Kall Fimbulbringer in Valheim is not standing at a normal outdoor altar. Find a Deep North Vegvisir and interact with it to reveal an Aesir Passage location on your map.
The world can generate multiple Aesir Passages, so use the marker your own Vegvisir provides rather than relying on coordinates from somebody else’s seed.
You can reach the structure before completing the full progression chain, but the way inside remains locked until you have the correct offering.
How to summon Kall
The Aesir Passage has a Strange Bowl that requires 3 Malicious Blood. Each Malicious Blood comes from ending a Jotun Invasion.
Those invasions are triggered by clearing Mörkhalla and breaking the Malicious Ice at the bottom. To reach Kall Fimbulbringer in Valheim, plan on crafting three Intricate Keys, clearing three Mörkhalla dungeons and stopping three invasions.
Offer all three Malicious Blood at the bowl. The route into The Prison opens and Kall appears after a short delay.
Best damage types against Kall
Kall Fimbulbringer in Valheim resists pierce, fire, frost and lightning, while spirit damage does nothing to him.
Blunt and slash therefore give the cleanest direct damage. High-end sledges and greatswords are particularly strong choices, including upgraded Deep North weapons that still deliver substantial physical damage through his resistances.
Do not build the entire strategy around pure elemental damage simply because the final biome introduced new elemental weapon infusions.

Phase 1
The first Kall Fimbulbringer in Valheim phase has 10,000 health. His chain attacks cover more space than their animations initially suggest, so learning the timing matters more than trying to outrange every swing.
Chain slams and sweeps hit extremely hard. Stay mobile, avoid getting pinned near the edge of the arena and attack after the long commitments rather than trying to trade hits.
Fire and frost resistance are both useful because later attacks add elemental damage on top of already heavy physical hits.
Phase 2
The second phase is the trap for players expecting another damage race. Kall Fimbulbringer in Valheim becomes immune to every damage type during this stage.
He summons aspects based on the previous Forsaken. Your job is to kill those summoned enemies and survive the arena rather than continuing to attack Kall.
Do not waste stamina and weapon durability swinging into an immune boss. Clear the aspects cleanly and treat the phase as an add-control test.
Phase 3
The final Kall Fimbulbringer in Valheim phase has 30,000 health, three times the first phase’s health pool.
His chain attacks become more dangerous, including additional elemental damage and rapid combinations. Keep enough stamina to dodge and reposition instead of emptying the bar during one greedy damage window.
This is where good food, resistance meads, upgraded armour and a rested buff matter most. Kall punishes a player who arrives technically able to summon him but underprepared for a long fight.
Kall’s drops
Kall Fimbulbringer in Valheim always drops Sacrificial Blood and the Crown Jewel.
There is no random loot roll for those two finale items, so defeating the boss once gives you the materials needed to continue into the ending sequence.
The Crown Jewel combines with Bloodgold at a high-level Black Forge to craft the Crown of Valheim. Sacrificial Blood is taken back to the Sacrificial Stones as part of the game’s ending sequence.
Unlike the earlier Forsaken, Kall does not provide another Forsaken power. There is no ninth biome waiting behind him.
Final preparation
Place a portal safely outside the Aesir Passage, repair everything before entering and bring spare food and meads. Multiplayer can make recovery easier, but the fight is fully possible solo with proper endgame gear.
Kall Fimbulbringer in Valheim is meant to close the progression chain that began with Eikthyr. The difficult part is not only the 47,000-health fight; it is arriving after the entire Deep North key, invasion and Malicious Blood loop with enough resources left to finish the job.
