Tower of Fantasy: Frigg, Balmung and release date

Tower of Fantasy Frigg

Last Updated on: 30th August 2022, 02:22 am

Frigg is currently only available in the Chinese version of Tower of Fantasy. The Global version may be the same but with minor adjustments.

A recurring antagonist in the Tower of Fantasy lore is Frigg. She is a mysterious member of the Heirs of Aida. If you have gone far enough in the game, you have likely crossed swords with her on the shores of Banges. Zeke often accompanies her as they attempt to keep Shirli alive. As an elite soldier, she has posed a serious threat to both the Wanderer and the District of Hykros.

Tower of Fantasy portrays her as “the proud flames of the Heirs of Aida; and the scarlet nightmare of Hykros.” Her fiery features include her piercing red eyes and her rose-colored hair.

Based on the Chinese version of the game, Frigg is an SSR character. She is one of the few dual-wielding characters that also acts as a DPS Resonance. Contrary to her looks, she bears the ice element. This is also apparent after your confrontation on the Banges shores. She holds a sword and what looks like a single-handed lance.

Frigg: her Balmung, her weapon effects, and her weapon skills

Her weapon is called Balmung and has two weapon effects. Her normal attacks are Shatter and Charge, both at a base ATK damage of 8.0.

Ice Shell (Passive) – If the weapon is fully charged, enemies damaged by the weapon will freeze for 2 seconds. Additionally, the enemies will also suffer 6 seconds of frostbite. If the enemies or the Wanderer break the ice shell, an additional 151% of the total ATK will be inflicted on the enemy. Ice Shell also reduces the weapon charge rate of afflicted enemies by 50%.

Fimbulwinter (Skill) – A barrage of slashes will surround the Wanderer that deals total damage of 577.5% of the ATK of the character. Once activated, smaller targets will be immobilized and may be launched mid-air. This will also temporarily grant the Wanderer damage immunity. This skill has a 30-second cooldown and is best used with other skills and normal attacks.

Frozen Domain (Skill) – This is used after the Wanderer releases Fimbulwinter. It casts a large frost domain forming around the player. This domain lasts for 25 seconds. The Wanderer will have many advantages inside the domain. This includes being able to perform multiple dodges. Any ally using ice-based weapons will also have an additional 15% on their ATK. As long as the Wanderer is inside the domain, there is also an additional 25% on the normal attack of the player.

Comparing the Chinese and the Global version

If the character is on the ground, the character bearing Balmung can perform five consecutive attacks. If interrupted, you will have to start over. Dealing consecutive normal attacks five times causes additional bonus damage to the enemies.

While suspended mid-air, anyone using Balmung will do an Aerial Discharge. This is five consecutive normal attacks while airborne.

The Wanderer will do a Soaring Slash if you hold the attack button. The player will lunge forward, causing small enemies hit to be suspended in midair. The player then soars to do a slash dealing an additional 134% of the total ATK of the character. However, if the player is already in midair and holds the attack button, the Wanderer does a Helix Slash instead.

In the Chinese version, Nemesis was released on March 5, 2022. Meanwhile, she was revealed in the Global version recently in the Global version this August 11, 2022. On the other hand, Frigg was unveiled in the Chinese version on March 25, 2022. If everything goes according to plan, Frigg will be released on September 1, 2002.
